Good food, great service. Family style Chinese with hot tea. Don’t be afraid to come in, there are some homeless folks

Great food and service. Definition of family style and hole in the wall dining. This restaurant had been around for many years for ita quality and value.

Forcing a minimum of 15% tip on customers for almost no service (except from a very friendly waitress we had; the cashier was not) and bland food that needed more salt and overall better flavour combinations is not going to make your customers pay you 15% tip or more. Was excited to have food that reminds me of home but ended up feeling a little insulted by the end of it lol.

Love this place. Food is always good and portions are great. They always answer the phone when I make a phone order. Their crispy gau gee is one of the best. Big and meaty! Also, you save a little money if you pay with cash instead of credit card. Go try um out!

I have driven past Au's Garden for years. Decided to try.... good food. More Hong Kong style rather than local.

We found ourselves in Honolulu for Chinese New Year. Cliche as it may be, we decided we needed Chinese food to celebrate. Yelpers, thanks for guiding us here! The food was really great. We had some picky eaters in our group with dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate them without any issue. Like you're supposed to get for Chinese New Year, we got a little bit of everything. Steamed tofu with shrimp, three different kinds of noodles, steamed fish, poached chicken, everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend!

I have come to Au's for decades. & They have changed owners a few times but it has not been so drastic in quality and taste. I'm sad to say most of the food had almost no taste. Of the items we ordered the Wor Won Ton Mein was really good and the crispy gau gee was okay. The noodles from the crispy gaugee mein tasted like water, I had to add seasoned salt to eat it. The Mongolian beef comes with bell peppers and onions. It was a little bit spicy but it had no real flavor or salt either. The steamed buns were soft. Chinese chicken salad was a bit salty but better than No taste. They mixed in the sauce beforehand so it got soggy fast. & Lettuce became limp. Our total bill for all of this was $76.20. Portions were decent and service when ordering on the phone was good. I'm hoping they correct the taste issues because Au's has quite the reputation to uphold.

The food was king of bland. Some things were good but other things wasn't.

Great food, affordable prices and a hidden gem in the heart of Kalihi...located in the back parking lot of Diners...

Attended an event here this weekend with 9 tables and enjoyed myself. It's a great place for a party with adequate parking. My aunties enjoyed the pig feet here. My favorite was the seafood noodle dish. I also tried their speciality dim sum won ton thing, choy sum, ribs, beef dish, honey walnut shrimp and chinese chicken salad. All of the food here was decent and this place seemed busy. We had our club Christmas party here and everything appeared to go smoothly and even had some table space for our prizes and games as well as a spot to take photos. The staff were all friendly as well. I can't wait to try new items and this was my first time here.
