Had to visit them before they close this upcoming weekend on the 20th. It's sad to see them closing due to the pandemic, since it was very convenient for college students and a great space to hang out for a yummy treat. I will miss seeing the colorful feathered walls with the bananas in the middle. There were sweet employees who were very helpful if you wanted to get any recommendations, for a bowl, smoothie, etc. The soft serve is banana based and a great healthy alternative for frozen yogurt and ice cream. The store also had their merch and products of their macadamia nut butter. Plus, they have a water machine at their store to quench your thirst to support locally and support using less waste which I love seeing them making a difference in the community :D

When I went, the machine for the banana and the acai were both down. (Though staff was very kind in offering me other options and a gift card). The chocolate flavor I ended up getting was a bit underwhelming.

I love the overall concept of Banán in finding a sustainable and healthy way of indulging our sweet tooth. I haven't been here since the pandemic, but glad they're back open again. I like the açaí bowls and variations best, but their ice cream variations are great too!

Took 30 minutes for a waffle and then were told the banana ice cream was not available, this is 2 months now. Would have been okay if there was an apology for making us wait so long, or if they would have told us the thing we paid for was not available in the first place but nope.

Very chill & laid back atmosphere. You get that hipster kind of vibe when you walk-in. The workers were sweet & helpful. The pineapple yacht I ordered was food art & pleasing to the eyes. It was too beautiful to eat! Haha! This is my first time eating vegan ice cream & it was an interesting experience taste wise. To me, the ice cream tasted like peanut butter which I am not a fan of. I am not saying it was disgusting, but just like anything new it will take a while to get accustomed & acquired to. However, as a non-vegan customer, I encouraged other non-vegan people to come & give this place a chance. Who knows, vegan ice cream may be your thang ;)

We love this spot. A little pricey but so fresh and guilt free. We got two bowls of the chunkadelic? Chocolate and banan flavor with the oooohhh so amazing honey butter and chocolate. Will be back for sure!!!

Great unique desserts. Close to college UH Across the street. Our old hangout since 2000. Nice to have a new establishment. Management is prejudice. Judmental upon people they never met face to face or any other form of communication. I come for the treat and not the service.

We first tried Banan precovid during one of the kakaako street events from the truck and loved it! We went into the University Store and the interior is super cute and there's still a bunch of places to sit inside and out. We didn't have to wait in line that long as the crew was really fast in taking orders and fulfilling them. The menu board is awesome and we made our choices. Everyone was so nice even through the masks, it's much appreciated. The portions are pretty big and the quality of the toppings was good too! They have parking off the side street but it seemed like people parked there for the neighborhood so we had to park across the street luckily there were openings so we didn't have to walk that far. They offer lids for to go orders, but we ate about half in the car on the mile drive home so we didn't need any lids. Love this place, we'll be back again for sure.

Delicious, I didn't think I would like it!

I've been here a couple times and it was always a refreshing, healthy (ish) treat! I came once to pick up my Farmlink box which was super convenient and came with the bonus of snagging some banana nice cream. The bowls are a bit pricy, though they match other acai bowl type places. Honestly, it's a good fix if you want something a bit more healthy or dairy free but acai bowls, nice cream and the like usually aren't my go to. Every time I have come here though they are always out of things- especially lilikoi anything for some reason, which is all I ever want. So it must be good but I may never know...this could also be compounded by the pandemic. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and craving a frozen treat!

I love this place--so many fun flavors and toppings to put on. It's always a nice place to hang out too, with comfortable seating and a pleasant interior.

I'll preface this that their food is delicious. Had the ulu waffle with chocolate Banán. Very filling and very tasty. Here's the problem: I preordered online because I had a toddler with me and they had curbside pickup available...or so I thought. I ordered and paid for my food and drove over with my 2 year old and parked in their tiny lot (about 8-10 stalls since the other stalls are chained off). I had to call 3 times since the first two times wasn't picked up and their voicemail is either off or not activated. When I got thru on the 3rd try, I told the worker that I was here for curbside pickup. He said that I had to go inside to get it. Once I got myself and my toddler in, I tried to get my food. Nope, wasn't ready based on the expected time it was supposed to be ready. It took an extra 8 minutes or so. Now I had to carry a two year old, two waffles, and two scoops of Banán back to the car. I'll be honest; if I knew I couldn't get my food today brought out to me, I wouldn't have went today. Under different circumstances, I'd be down to walk in and grab their good food. Please take this information down from your website if you don't offer curbside service.

Not a real soft serve ice cream, the main ingredients are water and banana. I got banana flavor without sides and the taste was not good. Not creamy at all! Not sure how the other people give it such a good rating.

Cute little place frequented by the university students. Had the original bowl and the açaí papaya bowl. Definitely use fresh ingredients and taste is solid if not spectacular.
