In the Soul is a standout—balanced, expressive, and layered in a way that unfolds sip after sip. The Japan is elegant and refined, a beautiful reflection of the bar's deep respect for Japanese technique. The Matcha is both comforting and complex, with its velvety texture and earthy aroma, while the Sagano Smoke adds a dramatic flair, weaving smokiness and subtle sweetness into something unforgettable. And if you prefer something more delicate, the Fruity & Floral is bright, aromatic, and wonderfully refreshing. But the surprises don't end with the drinks. The Brioche with pizza butter is an absolute revelation—warm, soft, and perfectly indulgent. It's the kind of bite that makes you stop mid-conversation just to appreciate how unexpectedly incredible something so simple can be. What elevates the entire experience, though, is the service. Scotty is phenomenal—attentive, personable, and clearly passionate about the craft. And co-owner Jason sets the tone with his expertise and warm, welcoming presence. Wow! Our bartender was so knowledgeable and helpful. He increased our enjoyment of the outstanding and delicious cocktails, which was quite a feat. We shared the salmon spread and sliced baguette, which was totally excellent. The quiet room and gorgeous monkeypod wooden bar help make the evening in Bar Leather Apron a memorable experience. This is a welcoming, comfortable and extremely competent establishment.

From start to finish, Bar Leather Apron is marvelous. The drinks, the food, the staff, and the ambience. It's officially our go to spot for date nights, ending the work week, or just because. As mentioned on their IG page, reservations for the bar open on the 1st of every month (for the next month) at 7:00 AM HST and spots will fill within 2 minutes. Have a card already set on OpenTable, set a few reminders, have a time in mind, and get ready to click on multiple days to get a spot. 5:30 & 7:30 reservations are the first to go, and 10:00 & 10:30 reservations are the last.

The best bar on Oahu. Bar seating is a must. Drinks and cocktails are crafted meticulously by Justin Park co-owner and master mixologist. This night I had their Zeffrano, their version of a Negroni and a Japan. Your drinks are made in front if you with every step and ingredient explained as your drink is being mixed. Ma The results are perfectly balanced drinks that you can savor. Reservations for the six seat bar start one month in advance and sell out quickly. Limited walk ins are taken for the lounge area.

The quality of cocktails and the experience are like no other, and it is in my opinion, the best in class. After trying their cocktails, I can no longer tolerate those mediocre cocktails made by other bars / restaurants.
