Dropped in after surfing for an hour. Sadly, even though I was hungry the chicken sandwich was terrible. Soggy, not crispy. And the flavor was just as disappointing. A sickly, sweet taste as if the mayo was left out overnight. The fries were decent with ketchup. They need a lot more salt. The restaurant is clean and the staff polite, but if you’re looking for a delicious chicken sandwich, go to Popeyes or Chick Fil A.

On 2/20/2024 I ordered the BB golden fried hot plate. I got 3 pieces of chicken and it was raw. I went to the guy who took my order and showed him my raw chicken. He went to the cook and he said the cook told him the chicken wasn't raw. The audacity they didn't even replace my raw chicken I hope I don't get Salmonella poisoning. I don't recommend this place at all. They serve you raw chicken.

Spicy chicken is Korean style, so it can be spicy. Spicy is the original Korean-style chicken flavor preferred by Koreans. If you can't eat spicy food, it's mild. There is a chicken menu. Spicy chicken has delicious seasoning, so it tastes even better when eaten with rice.It is clean and tasty without being greasy. I recommend it if you want the best chicken in Hawaii. Our family of four orders and eats one once a week. It's like the chicken you eat in Korea. Thank you for preserving the original taste.

Bought (2) full orders of boneless chicken - without any spicey seasoning. One piece was slightly spicey hot but most others were too spicey hot to eat. I actually threw away pieces that were spicey. Sad part, I gave some to elderly neighbor and it was TOO spicey for them to eat. What’s going on? Just spent over $60 for 2 orders. Wasted!!!! Tried calling but could not get through - mailbox not set up.

The BBQ chicken store's secret sauce chicken was a revelation - a perfect blend of flavors that left a lasting impression. A must-try!

When I found out that this place was in Hawaii, and right by where we were staying, I had to have some! The first time I had ever seen this place was during a Korean drama, and I have been craving this delicious Korean fried chicken every day ever since! When we first got here, the employees were extremely nice and helpful. The place was a little bit small but they were still accommodating and helped us get set up. My husband and I just had a son and things were a little bit chaotic, but the employees were sweet and patient. We ordered half hot spicy (Fried chicken covered with sweet spicy red chili sauce) and half soy garlic. Both were so good! The hot spicy had the perfect amount of spice, technically, I could've done a little bit spicier, but it was still delicious. The soy garlic was great to cool down my mouth after the spiciness from the hot spicy. Also, don't forget to get some of their sides we got the cheesy ddeok bokki. These delicious and spicy rice cake morsels with a perfect bite! Love this place, and so happy we were able to try it after seeing it in the Korean drama!

OMG OMG OMG.Couldn’t want to write a review on this place.Okay, I’m an African American first of all. I’m used to eating home made fried chicken or maybe the occasional Popeyes etc… I’ve never thought that I would say this, but I enjoy this Chicken better than any other chicken I’ve eaten. Secret sauce is 5stars! I brought 8 friends with me and they all loved It. The people are always nice, the food is always perfect and the presentation and customer service is great! I didn’t know It was a franchise!

So Disappointed!During our urban hike around the Diamond Head State Memorial and Kahala neighborhood, my skinny husband talked about craving fried chicken. Tsk, I think his cravings for deep-fried foods are heightened because while growing up, his family ate a lot more fried foods than mine, and I consider HIS health issues when home cooking, so I prepare foods through other methods and flavors. It happened that Yelp released its list of Local Best Fried Chicken Spots while MSN.com listed their top fried chicken joints in the Nation yesterday. After reading off both lists to my husband, he immediately suggested we try MSN's list #1 rated spot, Bb.q Chicken, since we've never tried them. We hurriedly completed our urban hike and headed hungrily toward the nearby Kahala neighborhood for dinner takeout. Walking into the clean and bright Bb.q Chicken franchise at Kūono Marketplace, we could smell the delicious aroma of fried food. While looking up at their menu above the order counter, we noticed a couple seated and eating and figured out why we could smell the fried chicken permeating the dining room. We took a few moments to decide between ordering their Full Order of Signature Golden Fried Wings or Thighs. However, we considered ordering a HALF order of their Golden Fried Whole Chicken (8 pcs). We ruled out the whole chicken because we prefer dark meat chicken pieces and went with the 9 pcs Box of Golden Fried Chicken Thighs with Ranch Dressing and Honey Mustard as dipping sauces. We waited about 20 minutes for our made-to-order takeout and drove home. As soon as we got home, we took some side dishes to pair with our fried chicken and tore into the aromatic and steaming hot box of fried chicken. We were surprised to see the chicken pieces as they didn't look like thighs. The box did contain the advertised nine pieces, and the crust was crackling and crunching. We took out a couple pieces to eat and discovered that we had received a mix of chicken pieces and a lump of fried battered chicken skin. It's disappointing to say, but we had looked forward to eating the Nation's #1-rated Korean Fried Chicken and high ratings from other Yelpers, only not to receive the quality that we expected. Of the four pieces that we ate, we recognized one piece that was indeed a chicken thigh, and the rest of the pieces were either white and dry breast meat or a hind piece with backbone. The other pieces were unrecognizable and unevenly sized. We did notice instruction #3 on the back of the box, "Please return to us immediately if the chicken doesn't meet with your satisfaction or uncooked." But, we had driven for 18 minutes and settled at home to eat and wasn't about to return after being disappointed with the unrecognizable chicken pieces. We're not sure if there was any adult supervision or management on duty as we only noticed young people behind the counter and kitchen which may have had something to do with the lack of quality control.

Good wings but expect to wait a looooong time for them. Ordered at 6:08 as a walk in. It's 6:31 and we're still waiting. As the counter says politely , it's coming......the trick is to order first, go to the market and come back. At least the wait may not be as long? Aside from the wait....the food is good. The boneless option is nice but it is a wait....food was finally ready at 6:37. Hope the other 3 who are waiting get their food soon! But the taste is good!

The service was quick and courteous. It's air-conditioned but it gets a little warm when it gets crowded and when someone doesn't close the door. Got there as soon as it open and ordered Golden Fried Wings and Honey Garlic Wings. The chicken are made when ordered and it took about 20 minutes but could take longer depending on how many orders are ahead of you. If you don't want to wait around, suggest you call your order in or online and pick up. The golden fried wings were crunchy and the inside was moist and soft. Even the honey garlic. We ordered the secret sauce on the side since we didn't know how spicy it would be. At first, it wasn't slick but there is a slight kick afterwards. Next time will order and try the whole chicken. We were talking to another customer and she likes the whole chicken.

i ordered the creamy rice cakes on doordash with no sesame seeds. i wrote in the special instructions "can you please remove the noodles and add extra rice cakes instead?". they gave me NO rice cakes and all noodles. and since i ordered on doordash, i can't have it remade and redelivered. please read the notes written by customers more carefully because i got an order full of what i didn't want. that's just horrible. >:(

Great prices and my chicken fix is satisfied. This place hit the spot! Everything we ordered was 10/10.Pricing is more than reasonable and everything was made fresh. MMMM...Here is what we ordered:Special sauce chicken sandwich: This sandwich was recommended to me by a friend and with a drink and fries it was roughly $10. The coleslaw on the sandwich also made a big difference for me as well.Kimchee ($3.99) + pickled daikon ($1.50): I ordered these as a side to meals cooked at home. It's cheaper than all grocery stores and the quality is better than the ones sold at grocery stores.Fried cream cheese balls: Imagine melty cream cheese with a mochi-like exterior. It had a similar texture to mochi donuts and the melted cheese in the middle made it even better.Takeout, dine-in, and delivery are all options at this location and the inside of the restaurant is also very new and clean. The staff is also efficient and friendly and I will definitely be returning for my fried chicken fix. This place now outranks any other chicken spot on island IMO.Also, they have a cooler by the register with Korean ice cream that I have not seen yet at our local Korean supermarkets. My favorite is the yogurt but I also believe they rotate their selection frequently. Definitely check out their ice cream cooler if you're at their location.Parking: This location has a parking lot out front. There should be stalls available but it is one of the more inconvenient lots in Hawaii.

It's because of Crash Landing on You that I started patronizing bb.q chicken! (Turns out bb.q was also in Goblin; I'm a new kdrama addict.) Even though I've come to this branch many times now, I've only had their wings (golden fried, honey garlic) and tried their secret and cheesling sauces on the side. Not really a fan of their tteokbokki, but I like their cheese balls and I'm obsessed with their coleslaw. Their fries were actually decent as well. I was a little iffy abt the prices but got over it soon enough because their wings are always crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They reheat well in the air fryer too. Service is always courteous. The dining area is brightly lit inside and there are big screen tvs playing their marketing video and the occasional kdrama (CLOY was playing one day!) or music video. Call to place order or via the website so you don't have to wait (esp during mealtimes).

shopping at Kahala Mall with my friend and we were trying to decide what to eat, and we found this place. What I didn't realize is that they have one in HMart peal city.Garlic Chicken - 5 stars - very tasty, with a little zing to it. Got the plate for only about $11.Cheese fries - 5 stars - this was really good with the cheese powder. Fresh thicker fries with a somewhat cheesy taste. Why the 4 stars? My friend ordered the original which showed that it was not spicy, but he could only eat just half a piece of one of 6 pieces because it had a spicy kick to it, so he had to waste his whole plate and wasted money buying his dinner. Thus, I can't eat here if I'm with him again. This would also be a problem for other people I eat with as well.Service was fast and ok.Lots of parking since it is a building with a row of stores right across the main roadway, Ewa end of Kahala Mall, next to foodland.

Got the full chicken original. Chicken comes out hot and fresh. Would recommend the sauces as some pieces tend to have no flavor, especially white meat. Mac salad good and would recommend honey garlic fries.
