The service was fast and friendly. The salad i had was delicious and fresh. Sitting out on the patio with the beach behind me gave me the most relaxing feeling of my entire trip.

What a lovely beach bar this is! We had a fantastic evening as we enjoyed some delicious Mai Tai cocktails over live music and gorgeous sunset. I think the sampler is the best deal. You can try poke, spicy edamame and 5 big pieces of wings. I shared this with my husband and we were pretty full. Awesome service, amazing location. One thing, the tables are first come first service basis, so around the sunset/dinner time starting 5:45ish, people are standing around to find tables. We saw couple of people standing around over 30 minutes, waiting for a table (near the beach) to open up!!! We came here around 5pm and tables were easier to find, live music was starting and we stayed till the sunset.

We enjoyed our first visit to the beach bar, great live music and yummy drinks and the service was fast. It's self seating and although it was busy we found a table quickly. My only disappointment was that the Moana sunset mai tai I ordered was supposed to come in a cute souvenir glass that I could take home, but it just came in a regular cup. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Great bar with a wonderful view of the beach. Very few bars that I found on Waikiki felt like they were on the beach with a good view. A lot of bars' views were covered by greenery and decor. To me the water and the beach IS the decor. Staff was friendly and attentive. The other guests at the bar were open and friendly as well. The over all vibe welcomed interactions and socializing. Food was diverse and very tasty, not common fried bar food. Still had some comfort favorites.

First come first serve, therefore, it may take time to get a table here. That being said, I felt it was worth the wait. My only complaint about my experience is that the bar/grill is literally next to the Hotel Pool. The pool being next door didn't bother me. Noise and people never bother me. What bothered me is that this family was saving a table while they were at the pool and beach. They weren't even sitting at the table or had ordered any food etc. We thought the table was empty being that 1. No one was at the table. 2. No food or drinks were on the table. Lastly, 3. There was just a check and a staff member told us we could sit there. So to our surprise we were shocked when the server asked us to leave the table since it belonged to someone else. After 5 minutes of us standing there looking around the server came back to us and told us to just sit there. So, unsure if they had to wait a certain amount of time before giving up the table. Who knows. On a positive note our server was great. Super friendly and attentive. Great views of the beach. Everything we ordered was delicious especially the drinks.

This is a walk in and find your own table kind of place. We found a table without a problem and received prompt service with a great view of the beach. The drinks were tasty and the food was very good.

Very expensive and VERY crowded. Not sure if it is typically that crowded, since I only went there once, but it was the kind of crowded where people are wandering around asking if you're about done with your table. I didn't find this place enjoyable.

It was very crowded at this time of day, and we couldn't find a table for 2. We ended up getting a couple Mai Tai's from the bar ($18 each) and found a concrete ledge to sit and take in the scene. 5 out of 5 if we could have found a table. Come early.

The chicken wings were excellent! The rest of the food was pretty good as well. The banana bread pudding was a good ending to the meal. It was very busy, but it was also Christmas. Everything was quite expensive, especially the alcoholic drinks. I tried the Lava Flow and it was delicious. Fresh pineapple is served with each drink.
Fine for a quick bite. Nothing impressive. Poke bowl was decent. Tofu bowl was not good.

Great service! Great beverages ! Sit at bar overlooking the water and beach. Don't even order off the menu - get Marne and just tell him to give you the best thing and he will mix it up every time. But the 1944 mai tai and the pupu platter sampler were the best. Especially the chicken wings

We stopped by on our first night in Waikiki after a long flight. Tables are first come first served (seat yourself) so get here early if you want to see the sunset. We walked up at the last minute and managed to get one of the last tables. Sat under the shade of a giant banyan tree overlooking the beach, with mai tais and appetizers. We particularly enjoyed the garlic parmesan fries.

We met our friends who were staying at the Moana Surfrider for drinks at the Beach Bar, which is located in the courtyard of the hotel. It was our first visit to the Beach Bar. They have 3 different versions of Mai Tais there. I decided to go with the strongest. The 1944 Mai Tai. It is probably the top Mai Tai I have ever had. It has the strength of a Buzz's Original Steakhouse Mai Tai and the sweet taste of Monkeypod Mai Tai. It gives you the warm feeling with a nice buzz when you stand up. My wife had a salad with grilled shrimp. She said the dressing was delicious and the shrimp grilled to perfection. She said it was one of the best salads she's eaten. I had the bacon cheeseburger. It was average in taste and size. We will be back again!
