Food was exceptional! As an extended family, we ordered from each section of the menu and everyone was happy with what they ordered. The staff was very considerate, rushing the kids orders because they were very hungry. By Hawaiian standards, very reasonable prices and we ate here multiple times. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time for larger groups!!

Great restaurant inside the Hale Koa Hotel. We had Ribeye & Garlic Shrimp and the Macadamia crusted Red Snapper. Excellent! Service was great as was the atmosphere! We would come back!

The lunch menu is overpriced for average food. Don't order any Hawaiian style lunch items, just DoorDash from local restaurants.
The dinner menu is a little better, but options are limited. The waiter we had for dinner (Travis) was rude, and the restaurant hasn't restocked the ingredients for all of their desserts in a while.... stop giving excuses on shipments not coming in for months and go to the store. Its really bringing down the point of vacationing at the Hale Koa and enjoying a good meal.

Nice place, good food and service. I was really glad they took out the kids first. I don’t love the policy where your group has to be 100% there before they will see you. I know why they have it, but this is a vacation spot and they have to know that multiple families with big groups are not always gonna be in the same place at the same time and sometimes things happen. There is a bar right there so I guess if that happens to you grab a drink, but would be nice to be seated.

Overall, the food was just average. Some dishes, like the jambalaya, were served in surprisingly small portions. We also ordered the steak salad, which didn’t taste like a true filet mignon. It came already sliced and was overcooked, quite bland and lacking any flavor. The other two dishes we ordered, the burger and half chicken were okay and came in very decent portions. Overall we left feeling unimpressed. We’d likely choose to dine elsewhere next time.
