While visiting Oahu, my kids decided they really wanted Korean food since it had been several days for them. We tried Bibihana and it was one of my kids' favorite meals in Honolulu! Everyone especially liked the jajangmyeon, bindaetteok, tteokbokki and mandoo. Jajangmyeon is one of my kids' favorite dishes and they felt it was as good as any they've eaten before. Although we caught the owner when she was really busy that day, she was really nice and was able to accommodate the meals we were getting to share with our family.

I was hungry but didn't want a full meal, so I explored Ohana Hale. I was going to go to another eatery inside, but the other place took so long to have the customers in front of me pay, then I heard their order was going to take 15-20 minutes. So I moved along and went to Bibihana instead. There was only one woman working, and she had various small premade bentos up front (in addition to plates that I believe she makes to order). Although I'm skeptical of sunny side up eggs that have been sitting since idk when, I was craving a good kimchi bokkeumbap (kimchi fried rice). PROTIP: Pay in cash. If you pay with card, they assess a $0.79 service fee. Kimchi fried rice was $7.00 flat (although the advertised price was $6.79 or something). I was pleasantly surprised. Although the fried rice is cold now, it has a perfect level of spice, and there's a nice sesame seed flavor throughout. Kimchi is well-flavored too. I often find most Hawaii kimchi to be weak, but this one has a nice vinegar tang and a good level of spice. I will definitely come back, but want to have this kimchi fried rice when it's hot, not sitting at room temperature.

I used to work in that area and found out about this place. I first tried her Bibimbap and kimchee fried rice...both amazingly delicious. I work in Kaneohe and I honestly miss this place. Whenever I'm around the area I love to stop buy food from here. It's a little bit of a wait but that's because she cooks the food fresh. Today my husband and I had her spicy pork and bbq chicken plate. Of course I had to get the usual kimchee fried rice and side mandoo. Owner is very friendly and the portion is worth the price.

Actually 4.5 stars the only thing missing was the rice which was like unflavored mush, more kimchi and seating. Although a food hall/ marketplace it is pretty busy so seats are limited. I ordered the beef bulgogi which came with a dash of kimchi yes a freaking dash!!! Japchee and greens all was great minus the rice mush. Not sure what happened with the rice but eww. I devoured my food cause I was hungry and it was really really tasty!

This is one of the hidden gems in Ohana Hale Marketplace. I've been here several times in the past and everything I've had was good. I really enjoyed the spicy pork, bibimbap and japchae. The cone sushi is also a winner! She also has ready made bento's in you're in a rush. Today (10/22/2021) was my first time back to Ohana Hale in almost a year and have since been on the Ketogenic Diet. Bibihana offers a Keto Kimbap that was delicious!!! I should've taken a picture but I ate it. Sooooo good! I should've gotten more than one. I believe this is the only Keto option in Ohana Hale.....and I'm not complaining because it's GOOD. Located on the left wall of Ohana Hale about 2/3rds towards the back. I highly recommend you checking this place out! SUPPORT LOCAL!

Where do I go for good Korean food? My mom's. She makes the best, most delicious Korean food. It's done with love, secret sauce with no recipes, and ingredients fertilized by unicorn poo and harvested under the full moon by Korean sprites. Having said that, I always try to support local and Korean if I can when I can. but I awlays tell my momma she is the best chef! So imagine. My. Surprise. At. This. Place. Wow. This would be if I had a Korean auntie who learned to cook from my mom. Not quite, but pretty dang close. All the faves...kimbab, chive jun, japchae, small bentos... All at great prices and great tasting. I got a bunch to share and had 3 meals out of it. The pepper and onion jjangachi (shoyu pickled) is really good. My momma is still the best Korean chef. But bibihana comes pretty close! I'm going back for seconds.

I'm no expert in Korean food but the more I try, the more I fall in love with it. It can be difficult to find takeout meals anywhere that are healthy for under $8 unless you're eating a plain salad..but there are a variety of bentos at Bibihana that are keto-friendly if you are looking for that, and I opted for the Japchae which was very filling and healthy. I will definitely be back.

We were hangry so went to the Ohana marketplace. It was the first time since last June. Sadly many eateries are gone. My fave bubble tea, indian, thai, Italian, manju places are gone. This is a good deal for lunch- bi bim bap for $10 and a good selection of standards to choose from if you want some Korean to satisfy. It's hard to put a finger on it-but there is a kind of depressing atmosphere in there. The staff seem bored or depressed-sitting behind the counter -no eye contact and after we placed our order- that's it? I felt like we should have ordered more to get a smile out of her. At other booths you could see obviously friends or family hanging out and nobody makes eye contact or greens or acknowledges you. It used to be a place with people proud and eager to explain what they had to eat or wear or whatever. The empty booths or covered up closed ones look depressing. I hope things pick up there soon and it becomes a destination lunch spot not a quick stop of desperation.

2nd time eating here. Delicious. I love her Beef Bulgogi. I'm going try her Keto sushi next. Anyone had it before?

Best Korean food in Oahu! Owner is very friendly, portions are generous and delicious, and prices are low compared to other Korean places in the area. Probably the best Japchai I've tried so far, and the kimchee is subtly unique. Definitely worth the visit! Best part is, parking hasn't been a problem the couple times we visited, which is rare in Oahu!

Food was good. Don’t get me wrong. but the lady was so grumpy and I was so uncomfortable to picking food to buy there in the future. Maybe she had not fun day oh well.

Li Y made me do this and guess what? She was correct and I'm glad I stopped in. Located in the Ohana Hale Market place (stall number 009) which is on the north east side of Ohana. Well, the lady that served me was not the friendliest but she did have some great tasting food at decent prices. I grabbed the chap chae, mandoo and the green onion pancake. Truthfully it was the green onion pancake that stirred my curiosity and I was not disappointed. The batter was light and somehow didn't absorb much of the oil as others may. It also seemed that green onions were pan fried first; then the batter.... very nicely done and worth my journey. And speaking of journeys!!! My office is across the street from Ohana Hale and is less than a 5 minute walk for me. Couple that with the fact Bibihana has been there for over a year and this was my FIRST visit. I have convinced myself that I live under a rock!!! And thank you to Li for putting this on my radar only to learn many of my other Yelper friends have already been there! Yikes! I need to speed things up in my life. And thank you Bibihana for a great meal. Oh, did I mentioned the portions are relatively large? Thank you Bibihana for giving me 2 decent meals at the price of one!!! A must try to you readers!!! A definite must try. I might see you there when I go to grab her other meals.

Eating here, one cannot help but hear Maangchi. "Hi everybody! Today we will make gimbap, Korean seaweed rice rolls. So rice and delicious, colorful ingredients rolled in seaweed paper and cut into bite size pieces. This is perfecty dish for picknicy". And what tasty gimbap it is. Surpassing the former title holder, Family Sushi House, sad victim of the COVID-economy, 85 percent well seasoned, fillings to 15 percent sesame seasoned rice all wrapped in thick nori before being hand smeared with sesame oil and sprinkled in sesame seeds. Ribeye and fish cake as primary proteins both good eats. Simple homestyle dishes all packed with flavor. Peppery japchae, oily but loaded buchujeon (garlic chive pancake), well marinated bulgogi, and meat jun with its oily, eggy, coating. All at room temp. All ala carte or as small bento for the perfect cash and carry takeaway experience. Friendly, one woman operation. Take it for what it is and it satisfies. Picknicy food, definitely. "See you next time. Byeeeee!"

Really enjoy the Korean food at Bibihana. It's taken me this long to try it and see what all the rave is because I am just not a frequent customer @ the Ohana Marketplace. That just might be changing now that I have found Bibihana!! Love that items are sold without rice as I always feel guilty throwing food away. Since I am trying to minimize my carbs this works for me. And how is the food? Absolutely delicious! Chive pancake - My most favorite version here because the pancake is stuffed with chives, bursting with flavor and nicely crisp. Served with the most kicked up dipping sauce. 5/5 Chop Chae - while full of carbs, also full on flavor. My favorite ever bought. And only second to the homemade one made by Korean friend's mama. 5/5 Kim bap (Korean sushi) made traditional and "keto style" with no rice. 10/5 Prices are more than fair. Always a great selection. Looking forward to returning! Thank you Bibihana... Korean food with heart!
