Love this place! We have a wonderful server for brunch! He memorizes our order without writing it down, he is so personable that it brightens our morning, and always gets our order right! The boneless kalbi melts in your mouth, the fried rice is so Ono! The Ani's French toast is yummy! The only thing is my friend tried the Kim chee fried rice and was disappointed because it was sweet! So she did not eat it. But I gave Big City 5 stars because I love their breakfast and wonderful server! It makes our day! Thank you, Big city diner! Thank you, Lane!

The food and service had always been great. Visited with owner Lane Muraoka who was assisting staff this Sunday. Very personable and attentive. Always great food. Their Chili is so homemade and wonderful without thick gooey additives. I had the Taco salad, always a great choice.
Vegetarian options: Mahalo to the folks at Big City diner waialae in kaimuki. The original. Reasonably priced and great service. Mahalo to all.Frank Reuter

I had the salad n sandwich combo! A turkey and cranberry sandwich!! With a fresh salad. It was perfect!! My friend had a portobello sandwich n fries. Her sandwich was delicious too. But the last time she had that sandwich the mushroom was bigger than the bun. This time it was smaller than the bun? Our server was "on it!" (Sorry didn't get his name) Will go back
Parking: The kaimuki location sucks!! I went to the machine to pay for my parking. No problem. Go to the exit, couldn't read the screen!! TRIED scanning my ticket, no luck! The gate wouldn't open. There were about 9 cars behind me! I pressed the help button, no one answered! I went to the cars behind me and explained, they let me go behind a car. He scanned his ticket and we both hurried out before the gare closed!!! I was panicked wondering how I was gonna get out!!! Technology sucks!!!

Fabulous, straightforward food and friendly service.Trying to introduce my kids to Loco Moco a couple days before at a random place and failed miserably. But came here to meet a friend all is right with the world againWe also had the Tachos - nothing exotic, just simple and nicely put together. Yum!My daughter had a breakfast bread pudding that was killer while my other little one went with basic eggs / bacon (w a scoop of rice, of course) that done properly (not a sure thing at every cafe/diner). Even my wife’s hot ham & cheese was unusually good.

Really good food, a little way from the crowded Beach, the owner Lane Muraoka was the Chef that day we were there he is very wonderful and friendly and knows a lot of local spots and will gladly share with you. Also has its own semi secure parking you have to go through a parking parking was $3

Our waiter did not pay any attention. He didn’t bring straws when I asked he didn’t bring extra mayonnaise when I asked Aston not to overcook the burger it was over cooked $19 for a mushroom burger, tasted like that got it out of the freezer package at the end of the meal we decided to order dessert 15 minutes later after paying the bill and paying for the dessert still hadn’t got the dessert so cancel the dessert order, maybe we got it at a bad time our service was awful and the food was mediocre. I won’t be going back right up from them is Honolulu Burger been there several times it’s six dollars a burger, cheaper and much better food.

If I could give a zero I would!Absolutely worst experience. We were out shopping and decided last minute to have breakfast, we were excited as it had been years since we were there. We came in through the back, we were greated by an old man running food.We waited by the host stand. He came up shortly after to ask how many.Five I said....No response....He walked away and went back to the expo area.A few minutes latera couple walked in after us and he returned to seat them by the window right away!Again ZERO RESPONSE to us???We continued to wait another 5 minutes with zero communication like:It will be a momentThe place was EMPTY...After being ignored I said to my group let's go.He turned around from expo and watched us walk out.ZERO RESONSEZero stars, zero customer service!!!Amazing service next door
I was a little skeptical when I first arrived, as there were only two other parties there, but after a half hour many, many people showed up. That’s when I realized that I was early for dinner. The food was great, as I only feasted on appetizers. The brownie sundae at the end was to die for! Bring a date, because you won’t be able to finish it all yourself.
We wanted to go and enjoy ourselves here for breakfast. We arrived, there was no line and waited for about 7 minutes before being greeted and asked to sign in to the waitlist where we waited an additional 15 or so minutes before leaving. There was no estimated wait time given, even though we could see an open table, staff with the exception of one, lacked friendliness or customer service, they passed us numerous times as if we weren't there. We honestly felt invisible. We finally decided to leave, but not before staff then wanted to seat us. It was disappointing and it'll be hard to say if we will return to this location.
Walked with a friend and we decided to order to go do to the parking situation. If the parking was free we would of dined in. So we had a time limit and we ordered. We received our Lunch and they were fast. I think we had a couple of minutes to spare.
It was terrible because the waitress gave us a hard time. No respect. We waited 20 minutes still not seated it nobody in front us.we sign it ten a tour bus comes in she said they had to be seated first I don’t know how long it’s going to take to serve you and they were plenty tables. It’s all unprofessional and somebody needs to talk to her. We turn around and left
