Big Wave Dave at Surf & Coffee

Went here for some coffee during our vacation at the end of January. Got a coconut milk and macadamia nut flavored latte at this place which was super good! Really hit the spot. I’m normally a vanilla latte type of girl but, I was obsessed with macadamia nut lattes while on the island.

Booked through Airbnb experiences! It was AWESOME. Our instructor pauli was fantastic we felt so safe as we are all beginners. I’ve took lessons in a few places but this was the absolute best and I felt like I actually learned something! The price was great too and the coffee included was the best we’ve had in Hawaii so far. Would definitely go back!

We took the outrigger ride with big wave Dave’s. They were amazing. We caught 12 waves and only had two of us.,they provided a 3rd instead of canceling us. Very gracious and knowledgeable captain. I am a surfer and canoe paddler from calif and Washington so I can appreciate his skill

Had a lesson with Noi. Was booked as a group but nobody else showed ! had a great time with Noi and his positive attitude. I did as well as i could expect a 60 yr old with no experience could do. ! In retrospect really lucky i ended up on a one on one. certainly needed the extra help

Every one was so great. The experience was amazing and they even took pictures from the beach you could buy at the end.

Our family of 4 had a great time on the outrigger rides. We paddled out for four rides! It was fun and a great way to get our Waikiki Beach day started.

Kodi is awesome! We had the best experience surfing with him and he made us feel safe and relaxed from the first moment. His instructions were super clear and helpful. Thank you 🫶

Would definitely recommend the place, they also make great coffee and have a bunch of cute stuff you can purchase.

Thanks and a big shout out to surf instructor Michael Jackson. This was my first time surfing ever and it was an awesome experience. Mike breaks it down into a few very simple steps and from there it's sheer joy. I caught a few nice long waves, had a great time, and will highly recommend you all to all my friends who visit Oahu. Mahalo!

We did surfing lessons with Big Wave Dave Surf for the very first time, and I must say they were great! They first explained all the different techniques, and we then did a trial run at the surf shop. We then walked to Wakiki Beach to surf for about an hour & it was probably more than time. The instructor gave us confidence and kept us positive, and although I didn't end up standing up, it was a lot of fun! Also, what a great workout!!! Thank you, guys! It was fun!!

Received beginner surf lessons from Michael who is the absolute best!!!

Michael our instructor was a Saint - patient and thorough in explanations and showing us what to do and then when out there - what not to do and to correct. Eventually we got it and we were surfing!! What a thrilling experience - highly recommend Big Wave Daves :)
