Shaka the musician was great. The service so slow, for 2 mixed cocktails. Poorly made, flat funerals and no hit of the tart calamansi at 15 dollars a piece? Karagge calamari was ok. We left right after and had great pizza and awesome drinks at Brick Oven! Yum

We celebrated our anniversary there during the pop up and from service to food to drinks, it was amazing and authentic. I am hoping to go back before the pop up is over. #thatgood.

Food was so so. The menu was very limited, it didn't have standard Portuguese items such as vinda dos and paella. The service was very good and the restaurant itself was excellent.

Food was delicious. Our server was friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. Nice to have somewhere different for a meal. Will definitely go again and hope they will open a permanent location.

Was surprised to see the restaurant renovated. It appears to be a little darker and not a sports bar look. The menu option was smaller but my sandwich, the Italian, was very good. The menu stated "vinaigrette" but it was more of an aioli, which was really good. Our waitress was not the most pleasant person. When we asked a questions or wanted a take out dish, it was like we were bothering.

Food was very tasty but service was inadequate. Server couldn't tell us what the dessert was that came with the mixed plate and didn't even offer to check. Tried to take my friend's plate away when she wasn't finished. Some menu items have “MP” (market price) with an actual price ($16) next to the MP. So we thought the $16 was the MP for that day. Nope, it wasn't. It was $24.

I want this place in my hometown, but then I would never eat at home...and my wife is an excellent cook. Truly special, and for fine dining, a super value. I don't want to give a raving review because I don't want this place to become over popular based on good reviews...but it's simply one of the best places I've eaten. You must try the meatloaf...it's one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. For a special occasion or if you just want to be blown away with amazing culinary feats.

We had an early lunch reservation knowing that it can get really busy. Service was perfect that day. I had the luau stew. I have known luau stew to be more on the soupy side. This was the same consistency as the squid luau. Overall, lunch was good, and everyone else enjoyed their meals.

I haven't been to Hukilau in a while so decided on a quick business lunch mtg here. I ordered the fish sandwich & my dining partner had the portuguese bean soup. I believe the soup was ok, since he finished most of it. As for the sandwich, it was terrible. Mostly batter, hardly any fish and served on a thick and stale roll - the fish got lost in all of the bread. There's nothing positive to say about my meal. I must say that the service was prompt and courteous, although we had to ask for refills of water.

Waitress/hostess very friendly. Asked for 3 sides of sauce was told ok then I was brought only 1. Asked for my other 2 sauce upon food arrival (food orders take about 20-30min) and recieved only 1 again so I had to bother another waiter/busser for 1 more was a bit irratating but at least I got it. Also enjoyed let them eat cupcakes featured in front that red velvet vanilla cupcake was delish

My coworker and I went to Hukilau for lunch. We enjoyed being out of the hustle and bustle of the downtown work environment. A respite of sorts. I've been here a few times before and the service was slow but this time it was great. Our server was very good and took care of us and my food allergy well.

This is one of the best places on the island for fish, but also the Kauai grass fed beef is great too! Highly recommend for special occasions, if you want a formal quality with a semi-formal to business casual feel.

It was a bit loud inside, and we had asked if we couple eat outside. Sometimes when you are located outside of the restaurant you get forgotten. But this place didn't, and even through there was live music and it was a bit loud, my experience here was always good!

This rating is just on my food. I had the Caprese which I thought would be warm like a panini with melted mozzarella, but my sandwich was cold. I substituted the French fries with toss salad for $2 more. It was basically romaine with a few slices of onions ( I requested no onions on my sandwich so you'd think they'd omit the onions from my salad?) and a couple halves of grape tomatoes. The fries would've been waaay better. I think mostly every else liked their food. My coworker and I were sooo disappointed that the Salmon with mushroom risotto was no longer an entree offered. This was the reason we selected the restaurant. We should not have addumed that the menu was the same. :(
