I went to get a sandwich from this place, which is super popular with the locals. I placed my order through DoorDash, and the pickup time was 40 minutes, but when I arrived a little early at 30 minutes, my order was just ready, which was perfect. I also picked up a few truffle products they had inside the store. The outdoor patio was bustling with people eating their food or waiting for their orders. The cheese here is amazing, so next time, I definitely want to try their pizza.

I really don’t know what happened to this place. I used to come here once a week sometimes twice and it seriously fell off in the past couple months. I got a pizza last night and it was inedible. The cheese was disgustingly and the pizza was cold. They used to bring your food to your table now they dont even call you when your food is ready. The last sandwich I got from here I waited and it sat on the counter till I went in and asked if it was mine. The bread was hard and stale so I just ate the contents. I used to go have a bottle of wine and wait for food but since they put the pizza oven in the dining area it’s too hot since there is no circulation. Really sad to see one of the neighborhood favorites fall so far.

y'all this bolognese sandwich was a dream. this was probably the best sandwich i've ordered in years!! thanks for the deliciousness and i want absolutely everyone to go and try their food asap. you won't be disappointed. the sandwich was big enough for me to have leftovers, so i enjoyed it TWICE. i wish i had more time to go back and try other menu items too.
I am not sure why there are so many rude comments - I understand the wait time can be long. I personally loved the atmosphere and the work staff. All of them had excellent customer service. I have family in Italy and being at this local deli made me feel like I was back there. The food is spectacular and definitely worth the wait. I promise you! My husband and I now come back every Saturday so we can pick out some fresh bread and a couple of things I’ve missed from being over there. It’s brought my home dishes the spark they were missing.
So please don’t be discouraged to try it :)

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and though I’m far from Italy here in HNL, I felt entirely at home inside. Expect high prices, but it’s worth every penny.
