I ordered an acai bowl and garlic shrimp fried rice to take away. I stopped by around 2:00pm on my way back from climbing Diamond Head, and although the store was empty, the parking lot was crowded. The acai bowl and garlic shrimp fried rice were both excellent. It's a large portion, so if you're a small eater, it might be a good idea to share it with 2 to 3 people. The cashier could speak Japanese, and there seems to be a Japanese menu as well.

I arrived at the store around 10am on a Friday morning by renting a car, and was able to get in without lining up. We had an acai bowl, eggs benedict, waffles, and coffee. Everything was delicious. The store clerk who spoke Japanese was kind and accommodating.

Had an Açaī bowl which was refreshing and tasty. Also ordered the Espresso con panna, luckily caught the barista before putting whipped cream from a can into my espresso. I assumed they made their own whipped cream, and I'm alleryto the ingredients in the canned stuff. Thankfully the barista offered to swap it out for a cappuccino which was decent. Also had a Ube Latte which was also just ok. Service was great but dinged a star for using canned whipped cream.
Went here for the Hawaiian Waffle because of the Haupia sauce and was not disappointed. Was expecting the eatery to be a little more upscale but it was not busy as we arrived when they opened and ordered, got a table and our food arrived fairly quick. There is no table service but the food was excellent.

Terrific food. Well seasoned and made with lots of love. I had Mama's fried rice with Kahlua pork added. It is very well balanced and flavorful. The rest of our party enjoyed their food, too. This was recommended by a local Honolulu resident, and they were spot on.
We came for lunch. Honestly, you would be hard pressed to find better local food. The food is good enough to be served at fine dining establishments but is a simple Cafe that is family run. I wish all the local food paid as much attention to seasoning as they do here. Skip most high-priced Waikiki restaurants and come here instead.
