However, the risotto (which is a high price menu item) was undercooked which left the rice to be slightly crunchy and the scallops underwhelming. Service could have been more attentive with water refills and the like. Waitresses needed to flagged down quite a few times for service. Unfortunately, the overall experience had overshadowed a potentially great place for food and drink.

You will likely have to use expensive metered parking instead. Service was friendly, but kind of slow. In general, prices are high for the portion size, even during happy hour. It wasn’t too bad for the truffle fries or Szechuan cauliflower, but it was quite bad for the steak flatbread (especially since the “flatbread” part looked and tasted like a naan from Costco). Taste was good for the fries, but mediocre for the cauliflower and flatbread. The variety of beer on tap was good, but again prices were higher than expected for happy hour.

Came at a low point in the day I think, just the bartender was out front running the whole show, only 2 others there when I first arrived. But she was wonderful! Even worked with the kitchen so I could get chicken and waffles since I arrived right at the end of the brunch. After a series of hikes in the morning I’m grateful to her and the staff for making that happen since I was craving that! So awesome service! The restaurant was clean and had a good playlist on at a reasonable volume so people could talk and not yell. The bar and drinks looked great too but it was a little early for myself to partake.
The food was delicious, I also got the fries on the appetizers which were cooked to perfection and flavorful. My chicken with the waffles was also delicious! They drizzled it in something, maybe hot honey, and that was a great twist. My waffles were ok, personally I’m a crispy waffle person and since they weren’t that crispy that’s my only complaint. But they were still cooked appropriately, with a good portion that left me full but not stuffed. It was great eating chicken and waffles that didn’t feel heavy, so strongly recommend trying them at brunch. Maybe show up sooner than I did though.
Would recommend! Need to come back and try a drink!

We visited this place quite accidentally because our hotel was evacuated during the Tsunami ‘25 in Honolulu, Oahu. We felt especially fortunate to find this place while walking after we took Ubers inland for safety. Many many places closed down. It was slamming when we arrived and they handled it with smiles and efficiency. There were 12 of us in our group. Our choices were all over the menu . The food was absolutely amazing as we discussed what we were eating. The bartender was awesome—-great drinks. They did a fine job under the crowded circumstances to get the food served. A special suggestion from the bartender was that the mushroom Swiss is the best burger on the island. I agree. Later we learned the owner offered to let employees leave early because of the tsunami warning. That was the right thing to do and showed definite respect for the employees and their well being. Several left of course. Strangers and family helped them fill staff openings when the staff left to be with their loved ones, jic. Because of the tsunami’s projected arrival. They let us hang out on the patio for over 7 hours well after the dinner hour until we got the all clear that the Moana Surfrider opened up for us to return to our hotel rooms. The tsunami didn’t develop to shorelines but we got the experience of a lifetime. Definitely a 10 star place that we won’t forget.

Love the food, love love love the bartenders. EXCELLENT. However, there is a woman who works here (maybe a manager because she says she does scheduling) who is often at the end of the bar speaking LOUDLY. Like SUPER loudly. And she has a relatively shrill voice. She discusses employee information and business on full blast. She may have been drunk…I don’t know. VERY unprofessional. Additionally, I personally witnessed her having a discussion with an employee that was absolutely illegal. She was essentially low-key intimidated an employee from seeking additional or alternate employment. There were many not-so thinly veiled threats about how she knows everyone in the industry on Oahu and anytime he contacts anyone else for a job she will “find out immediately”. Then, a few minutes later she’s trying to be jovial and called him a “dumb ass” multiple times. Loud enough for the entire bar and restaurant to hear. I don’t want to get anyone fired or in trouble, but this is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior that needs to be addressed by the owner ASAP. She’s literally the only thing keeping me from making this our regular watering hole.

The food was excellent (the truffle fries may be the best we have ever eaten) and the service was also great. I had the fish tacos and my wife the chicken club. The only complaint was the smell inside. We did want to sit outside but they didn't have service available then. The inside had a faint smell of garbage, or something like that which was very unpleasant. I got used to it but my wife didn't. We would go back but would definitely want to sit outside.
Burgers were great. Truffle fries were a bit soggy, but over all great stop for lunch.

I was celebrating my friend's birthday on Friday, August 15 and I was impressed with all the beers they sell at the bar and I went directly with the bartender to ask for an IPA to which I was waiting for the beer for more than 5 minutes and I chose to go to the bathroom while it was ready. The beer never arrived and at the time of payment I saw that they had charged it to my account, when I claimed the bartender was hostal and began to lie to my face that he had given it to me, unfortunately I had already ordered my uber and I could not stay to claim that I never received it even the indication that we could look at the cameras to which I agreed without any problem but I could not waste more time in the place... my Uber had arrived... then we realized that several friends had been charged extra beers and wine we never ordered.
Be very careful with the bartender because I'm sure he's been doing this a while with the customers thinking they won't notice. And that just ruined the whole experience of the place... because it's really a good bar with many drinking options
