Love the opportunity and businesses over the decades of partners and the continued success
They were always nice and had very good service im sorry they closed they will be missed.
Service was friendly and efficient, food was standard Bubba Gump. A nice place to recuperate after shopping.
Loved this place... awesome wait staff.
I liked the creative way that they wanted diners to get the attention of a server because the signs mean that your meal doesn't have to come to a halt while you look for someone to assist you. You can flip it and continue a conversation, content in the knowledge that someone will respond once they see it. Anyway, the food was all right and the portions were generous (I remember thinking the whole head of lettuce went into my salad).
Great service. Incredible friendly and responsive staff. The food is okay, but there is a some what limited selection. I expected more shrimp selections. While Forest Gump was a great movie, it doesn't really lend itself to as much of a fun atmosphere for a restaurant as other movies might.
Dinner after shopping. Shame this is closing down in a couple of weeks, best to get in and enjoy the atmosphere. Great food. Beers gold. They have take home glasses with some of their drinks. The souvenir shop has already closed down.
We totally enjoyed this delicious food! Everything was perfect. Our dinner was delightful and the atmosphere was great. A must see in Hawaii for sure! The drinks, the food, the service just what we needed!
Love this place! It was always a highlight of our trip to Honolulu. So sad it’s closing down but very thankful we were able to enjoy it one last time! All the servers today were fantastic, best of luck to you all with your new jobs!
First time visiting here because I heard about limited time before closing. Not sure if this is what the place was always like or if quality was so poor because they close in a few days and are using old/last bit of stock and/or employees don’t care anymore because more than half the menu items were no longer available, and what we were able to order was awful in presentation and taste compared to pictures and previous reviews. Whether this was ever good or not, it certainly doesn’t seem to be in its closing window. I would recommend staying away and being aware you can’t get many of the items you may have liked previously anymore. Wanted to try their bread pudding and brownie but only dessert they have now is the cookie sundae.

With Jenna as our server, we had a great dinner. The staff checked on us often, even though the restaurant was BUSY. Kudos to Jenna and gang for staying positive, despite knowing they're closing. I think everyone is trying to get in before Bubba Gump closes next month. The menu is limited, and the souvenir shop up front is pretty bare. I'll miss this place!
We enjoy the atmosphere and the trivia! Food is wonderful. We are sad that they will be closing soon. Hope they will be able to find a new location on the island.
Waited over an hour for a table when we were told 30 minutes. Food took long. Restaurant more than half empty due to shortage of staff. Not worth the wait.
Closing at the end of January 2020. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co has been a staple to the Ala Moana's Hookipa Terrace (top floor of the mall). Where the theme is modeled after the movie Forrest Gump. It's a great place to grab a drink or simple bite to eat. It sometimes takes awhile to get a seat and the shrimp is all-right but nothing too spectacular. The charm to the restaurant is the Forrest Gump theme where the walls and restaurant pays homage to the movie. Be sure to visit one last time before they close to open the first Olive Garden in Hawaii.
I love their scampi! The Bubba Stop and Bubba Go signs on the table add a bit of fun to the experience. So too do the props and items that decorate the restaurant from 'Forrest Gump'.
