We went with a group of nine of us. We had reservations and it was pretty busy on a Saturday night around 6pm. This place is AYCE and you choose your broth and then your meats and veggies. Meat is thinly sliced and pretty much melts in your mouth. Good selection of veggies to choose from as well as a variety of noodles. Basically it's the same as any other shabushabu place. Price and AYCE is great. Service is a bit slow so I would order more food when you're half way done with what you already have because we had to wait maybe 5 minutes in between and it sorta ruins the flow of dinner. I think the broth was a little salty which is probably why it gave the meat a nice flavor, I ended up drinking a lot of water! The burner/stove is a portable stove so it does slide and move on the table which could be dangerous. I would go again only because the selection is good and it's AYCE!

Cafe Asia all you can eat $29.99. They also have senior prices. Pupus Edamame nicely cooked. 5 spice garlic chicken crunchy outside, moist inside. Couldn't taste the 5 spice but still delicious. Who doesn't like fried chicken? Crispy pork belly was deep fried similar to chicken, just as yummy. Meats The most popular meats we ordered lots of were: prime beef toro (so tender, melt in the mouth), prime beef top sirloin and pork belly. Beef eye of round was tough and chewy. Pork shoulder was okay. Pork meat balls were dry. Sausages were quite salty and looked like arabiki. Vegetables had quite a variety and a good amount for each order. We enjoyed the kabocha pumpkin, baby bak choy, spinach, Chinese cabbage and tofu. Seafood The thick meaty cuts of basa fish was the best. Lobster balls were sweet, probably because had corn niblets in them. Shrimp and fish balls were okay. Calamari was tough, maybe we overcooked them. Once it takes a dive into the broth, it'll be lost while mingling. Noodles/rice. We ordered ramen, glass noodles, udon and white rice. Best to cook noodles after cooking the meats so the noodles absorb the deliciously flavored broth. One broth per person. House sukiyaki: soy sauce base flavored with mirin, seaweed, dried ahi and sake. Garlic paitan: broth cooked from pork and chicken bones and vegetables with roasted garlic, additional 2.99. Butter miso: miso base flavored with shallots, ginger, roasted garlic, butter and milk, additional 2.99. Ma La: mildly spicy. Combo of house sukiyaki and paitan broths with peppercorn and chili oil, additional 2.99. The broths were all good but my favorite was their house sukiyaki. I added in chopped garlic into the garlic paitan broth for more garlic flavor. Broths are refillable at no extra cost. Our waiter asked if we wanted more broth or hot water. We chose the latter to lessen the strong flavors after cooking our foods. Sauces: ponzu and sesame. They leave the bottles of sauces at the table. Toppings: finely chopped garlic and green onions which I threw into the broths. Restaurant is very spacious, clean and welcoming. At the time we were there, they were short staffed but our friendly and knowledgeable waiter did his best to accommodate. Menu has meal sets you can choose from. Parking is free and ample.

A nice clean quiet place to feast on shabu shabu style dining. All you can eat options are available for a reasonable price. Children 10 and under enjoy half off. Open for lunch and dinner.

Amazing flavorful entrees! Obviously a top notch chef. The chicken- eggplant stir fry is delicately seasoned and so flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. We also had the fish and the fried rice - unique and perfectly seasoned. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect, with relaxing music and great ambience. We are so lucky!

Walked in early because it was a Saturday and we had no reservations. The place was completely empty at 5:30pm. Yes! We were offerred the ala carte menu or the AYCE menu. After analyzing both options, the AYCE is a steal at $30 per person. The other hot pot we were looking at started at $23 and the broths we wanted were already $3 more, so we said why not? We went ham and got two orders of almost all the meats, tons of veggies like bok choy, zuchinni, button mushrooms, and tofu. They also had seafood like fish, whole shrimp, clams, and calamari, but we opted out of seafood and focused on the meats. The starches were udon, ramen, rice, and rice noodles. We decided on udon. We chose the miso butter broth (watery and not tasty at all. Mild miso. Got saltier as it boiled) and the garlic paitan (best broth there! definitely reccommend and stayed good even boiling the whole time). Our veggies and noodles came out right after we received our sauces (seasame and ponzu). Our meats didn't come out for another 10 minutes. When they did, they luckily came all at once. I am no longer the best AYCE partner :( Since covid my stomach space has been depleted and sadly I was only able to eat 1.5 rounds of shabu shabu. Some of our items never showed, but I'm glad they didn't because I was stuffed. We casually spent about 2 hours eating and enjoying. We didn't feel rushed. Water was replenished often. The staff didn't ever ask if we needed anything and kept missing our card the first few times we were waiting to order items from the very beginning. I would rank this as a good experience if you're out in Hawaii Kai. But the broths and lack of options (meats and seafood excluded) were just okay. You pay for the location and meat variety for sure. The meats had great taste, thinly sliced, we loved every cut we got. Otherwise I'd venture out to town for another hot pot place.

Great place for all you can eat shabu shabu! Came here with some friends for the first time and this was one of the better hot pot places I've been to. The restaurant was clean and everyone was spaced out nicely. We had the all you can eat shabu shabu and it was delicious! The meat and veggies were fresh! They have a variety of broths and I chose the sukiyaki which was pretty good. It also comes with your standard ponzu and sesame dipping sauces.

I had the best meal at cafe Asia. Today was a rainy day and this hotpot really warmed me up and made my whole night. Come here if you're looking for a warm and savory meal. The staff is kind and the food was great. I would come again.

If I could give this place a 6 star rating, I wouldn't hesitate to!!! This place is the best place to head down to during a cozy and rainy evening with a bunch of friends. The food was delicious and they have a big variety of selections to chose from. I'm a vegetarian and I had such a great time! This place is totally a hidden gem, would definitely come again (-;
