We arrived about 9:09am on Saturday, you sign up on the sheet outside the door. We left at 9:59am!

Delicious. I’m so into the sweet service without fluff. Must hit up spot if you love breakfast. For visitors and locals alike.

Took me 8 years to finally get here haha, good things come to those who wait, well worth the wait and it’s a bummer the line turned me off for so long.

Parking can be annoying but again, worth it.

Breakfast was AMAZING! The spin on a loco moco but having a meatloaf is pretty neat and the gravy was great. The banana berry scone just hits right for me. Make sure to get there early because it does get busy. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Small town diner feel. The food was amazing and portion size was much more than expected for the prices in Honolulu. Service was a little slow but that could be because we came after the lunch/brunch rush and staff understandably needed a break (the line to wait is usually out the door).

I stumbled upon Cafe Kaila while browsing Google Maps, and let me tell you, it was an absolute gem! I arrived a bit early, only to find it wasn’t open yet, but there was already a line of locals waiting outside. That’s when I knew I was in for something special.
I ordered the veggie omelet, and oh my goodness, it was hands-down the best omelet I’ve ever had! The eggs were perfectly fluffy, and the vegetables inside were incredibly fresh and juicy, bursting with flavor in every bite. It was beyond my expectations—honestly, are Hawaiian eggs just naturally tastier? The whole experience was a delight, and I can see why locals line up for this place. Cafe Kaila is a must-visit for anyone craving an unforgettable breakfast!

Immaculate local hawaiian diner vibes—from the perfect potatoes to the decadent ube waffles. And of course spam. Never forget the spam. The space is welcoming, the service is friendly and attentive, and I will be back every time I’m in Honolulu.

I highly recommend the Chicken & Waffles. Chicken was most & flavorful. Waffle was crunchy. Arrived on a Tuesday morning. No wait, food was brought out quick and out was delicious.

ICONIC breakfast spot 💎 omg, YES. Café Kaila is the breakfast/brunch spot that never misses. I built my own omelet with gluten-free bread. No crumbs remained. Their homemade salsa? Addicting. My friend always gets the spinach breakfast wrap and swears by it. Heads up that there’s usually a wait because it’s so popular, but the line moves quick and it’s 100% worth it.

Ahh one of our go to spots for breakfast when we’re back on Oahu. I can’t get enough of their meat loaf loco moco. Such a hearty meal. The meat loaf is made the old fashioned way with bread crumbs. The service staff are very friendly and the food is served fairly quick. Not too long of a wait, but a very popular restaurant with limited seating. Get here early.

Hubby got the waffle and I got the croissant sandwich. It was delicious. We called in and pick up. It was pretty fast. There were quite few people waiting in line to dine in. The restaurant was packed.

Tasty and generous portions. Reasonable prices. Staffing were okay, not too friendly. Maybe, because they're super busy. Google says they're pet friendly, but SERVICE ANIMALS ONLY

This is a popular place for breakfast, though it does have a good selection of lunches such as paninis, pastas and plate lunches. We opted for its ham & havarti cheese panini with chicken wild rice soup and pesto chicken panini. Both came with potato chips. Both sandwiches were well made and tasted good. The soup was tasty, but way too salty. The service was friendly and there were a lot of seats here.

It felt like Sponge Bob was in the kitchen when I saw a sign by the kitchen entrance that says Made with Love!
