Swung by to have a late breakfast with my son. It was Monday around mid morning so it was pretty empty. We walked up to the counter and the friendly cashier took our order. They were sadly out of waffle mix so my son ordered the French toast instead. I ordered the 3 egg omelette and we each had a coffee. The service was really nice and it seemed like the couple of people that were there were regulars. So I was looking forward to a pleasant meal. Honestly, I would say maybe rename the place to Kaimuki Diner or something. Calling it a Cafe gave me different expectations. The rice was very dry on the surface. It was as if they went ahead and scooped it on the plate and let it sit there while everything else was cooking (weird). The egg omelette didn't look over cooked but when I put my fork in it I could tell that it was super dense! It had Portuguese sausage, onion, and mushrooms inside. I totally understand that the sausage is greasy but wow it was greasy! The French toast was unremarkable even with the syrup and butter. I might come back to see how they are with lunch. Maybe that's where they hit the mark?

The food was excellent. My husband had the Pork Adobo fried rice! Delicious ! I had the spinach salad also delicious! I was disappointed to eat on paper plates but things as they are now, support their decision. I would not let that stop me from dining there in the future.

We stopped in this morning to grab a quick breakfast as we explore all the cool things O'ahu has to offer. when we travel, we prefer to eat at small mom and pop local places than the bigger chain restaurants and this one did not disappoint! We had great food and great service. The owner is so friendly and nice. You can find her mingling with her patrons and taking care of everyone's needs. Fantastic place!

It was after lunch time, but wanted to eat the breakfast menu. Kaimuki Cafe made me just the right one for me! I ordered French toast with eggs, bacon, spam, and Portugee sausage. Their French Toast is the reason why I will go back to this cafe again. Not so thick, but soft and tasty one! And they make fresh coffee cup by cup!
