Hands down the best meal we had during a recent Hawai’i trip. Miro had been in our must-do list for some time and we certainly weren’t disappointed.Great cocktails to kick off and then a succession of delicious dishes, each beautifully presented and with intense flavours. Our first visit but not our last!

Had an amazing dinner with my husband here while visiting Honolulu. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented. I really couldn't recommend this place highly enough. We had to have certain courses modified to be gluten free, and honestly nothing ever felt like it was missing. The serving staff are excellent and very knowledgeable about the food, wines and cocktails. We will for sure come back on every visit to Oahu.Dietary restrictions: They are able to accommodate gluten free diners.

I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for quite sometime now. I’m so glad to have tried.Tasting course menu was great. We upgraded Pork belly to wagyu since we aren’t not into it. Glad they had alternative choice. New Zealand (farm raised) Salmon or Wagyu were the choice.Very friendly service. Very lively..positive way of saying noisy. I found it to be a bit too noisy for my preference for such an upscale dining experience. It was difficult to hear each other. Not suitable for a date night if your relationship is at early stage…unless they can seat you at the quiet spot. lol(We were seated in the middle of the restaurant. )Lastly, we found the crystal glass of the cocktail was chipped. Instead of making a new drink in the new crystal glass, the server just exchanged the glass by pouring the drink into a new glass, which is dangerous as the chipped crystal could have been inside the drink.. and it can go to the new glass.Better to insist to offer new drink for the safety of the diners. Something to be considered…that’s a minus.

My girlfriend wanted to try this place for a while now so we came here for our anniversary dinner. I am not a fan of seafood, but the I must say I would eat both of the seafood courses again without hesitation. All courses of the menu tasted great. The ambiance was nice, but what really made this experience awesome was our server, Martin. He shared how he ended up in Hawaii and why he never left. His knowledge of the menu was outstanding and everything he said about the courses was on point. We can't wait to return to try next month's prix fixe menu.

From the outside looking in, you’d think Miro was still under renovation. But once you step into the establishment, you’re greeted with light-colored wood and plenty of mirrors. The base menu is fairly priced, especially for the quality of food and creativity in taste and texture, but it is very easy to tack on a bunch of add-ons. We did the brioche sampler, escargot, and wine pairing in addition to the tasting menu.Everything was delightful, but for the brioche sampler, I’d recommend instead to just do the tuna topping. This is because while uni and caviar are always decadent, the toppings in combination with the brioche was a little too rich and fatty. The brioche stick was almost like a stick of wagyu, it was deep fried and buttered up. So the leaner cut of tuna actually made the pairing the best among the three. The hamachi dish was a palate cleanser, much like a hit of sliced ginger between pieces of nigiri. The next one was sunchoke mushroom and sweet onion. It also came with sourdough and seaweed butter. The nori butter was great - the seaweed flavor was actually integrated well into the butter. The bread came out piping hot and was addicting to eat. It was very hard not to wolf it all down, but fortunately I was able to dip a portion into the dish. The mushrooms were savory, and the egg yolk added richness to an already very creamy and flavorful dish.Escargot was nice, curry butter, strong flavors that complements the snails. The sea bass was so incredibly juicy … eating it with the roll of dough around it turned it into a very decadent spring roll.Pork belly was great, like a 东坡肉, and I enjoyed the crispy kale on top.Dessert was a little too sweet, and I’m pretty sure the black sesame bits are literally just chunks of a Chinese candy. So it was a little subpar compared to the rest. But still enjoyable especially with the paired sake.Speaking of, I also enjoyed the wine pairings a lot. Each was unique in flavor, not too heavy, and actually added complexity to each dish rather than drown it out. For example, the sweetness of the dessert worked well with the slight bitterness of the sake. The rose was a fun pairing with the hamachi, and the natural wines paired well with the mushroom and fish dishes. Red wines were well-bodied but not too dry and heavy. All in all a great experience and would return. The only issue was that the small plates we were given were a little dirty. I suppose it was fine since they were just meant to catch crumbs and what not

Four and a half stars. Ambiance very chill. Food is very tasty. Service is superb. Was invited to come here to dine for their brunch menu. I guess they brought brunch back after Covid. Great place to have brunch solo at the bar, with one other or in a group. The staff is very pleasant and down to earth. The food came out nice and hot and they also substituted a dish for me since I don't eat fish with cauliflower which was excellent. All portions are perfect and executed well. Excellent experience and the price wasn't bad either. So if you're looking for a cute but also tasty place to brunch, this is it. Not pretentious, not loud, and there are little subtleties that I appreciated.

Best Resturant in Hawaii! I have already sent two letters to Michelin imploring them to visit oahu. Wine pairing is a tremendous value and the service is top notch! Martin was a true veteran and made us feel very welcome and special. Chef Chris and his team are cooking up some magic in Kaimuki. Must visit!

Miro is one of my favorites restaurants but brunch was a miss. Everything was deep fried. The short rib, duck leg, french toast and potatoes were all deep fried. Additionally the food was way over cooked and dried out including the shrimp. It made the duck and short rib tasteless. I did love the French toast and the deviled egg appetizer and crème puff dessert was delish. Our server was outstanding and I really appreciated her. I post this to help Miros cause their restaurant for dinner is one of my favorites places in the world next to Mama's Fish House in Maui. Please change the menu for brunch. Thanks.

Loved the tasting menu here! It’s a seasonal menu, so it changes around but everything was flavorful and fresh. My partner who is pickier doesn’t enjoy tomatoes even especially loved the gazpacho we had. We opted for a bunch of the specials on the menu, the brioche bite was one of the best first bites I’ve had and I still continue to talk about it. Unfortunately it wasn’t ahi that day, so I’ll have to hope I try it again next time! The atmosphere is also bright and pleasant.

Had a great dining experience at Miro. A few friends suggested I check it out, and it did not disappoint. Our server was great, she was friendly and welcoming. She made it a point that they knew I was there celebrating my birthday. She made suggestions and let us know which drinks were her favorite. Our drink selections turned out to be really yummy. The restaurant from the outside is unassuming. There is one door with frosted glass, and we missed it initially. The interior was casual and gave me vibes of many restaurants we have in San Francisco. Although this may be listed as a bit more upscale, I never felt like it was, in terms of the environment. We opted to do a few add-ons, which consisted of the uni brioche, escargot and the sourdough bread. The uni brioche was SOOO buttery and so good. We did think that the brioche and uni clashed a bit and we could not taste the true uni flavors, but nonetheless this was a must try dish. I wish I got the one with caviar. Maybe next time. We really enjoyed the escargot. They were covered in puff pastry and baked in a curry sauce. Each bite was delicious and we used the sourdough bread to sop up the remaining sauce left from the escargot. Really good if you like escargot! The prix fixe menu ($95 per person / $50 wine pairing) on 1/28 consisted of: * Nairagi ceviche - fish was very fresh and the aji amarillo sauce complimented it well. * Mushroom agnolotti - this was probably our favorite dish of the prix fixe. The creamy mushroom "soup" was fantastic and so flavorful. We definitely were licking our spoons at the end of the dish. * Scallop with yuzu béarnaise and sunchoke - a good sized scallop that had the delicious yuzu béarnaise, can't go wrong. * Beef cheek - this was so very tender. Great flavor as well. * Orange. Jasmine. Honey - their version of an orange creamsicle. This was okay, very creamy, I did enjoy the white chocolate outer layer. We were also given a complimentary birthday slice of cake which I really enjoyed.

For the price, it’s a good value.Food was very good. I was hoping for one dish that was amazing, which is why I went there, but that didn’t happen. In general, the service was a four, but I gave them a three because I was overcharged $50.The wine pairing was nothing special, but for the cost, this is also a good value.

Incredible tasting menu and overall experience. By far the best food we had in Hawaii and one of the best restaurant experiences in general. Tasty, innovative, thoughtful. Perhaps, escargots could have been skipped, everything else was incredibly delicious.

We LOVED our experience at Miro Kaimuki! Everything from the food and drinks to the service was excellent! It's the perfect amount of food, and there are great add on options to the set menu. The cocktails were super creative and really great. We will definitely be back!
