We ordered a birthday cake for a relative. It was a small maybe 6inch Paid roughly $100 for it. No problems there as it was advertised and it’s what we paid for. Here’s the problem though,When we received the cake we had to sign a waiver for damages and such(something we never had to do at other bakeries) so kind of a red flag there. We left thinking. Nothing of it though. We noticed when we got to the car though, that the cake was already hitting the side of the box, like it was basically ruined lolWe opened up the box to find that the cake itself was deflating on one side and drooping. It literally looked like the Leaning Tower of Pisa.It was so shameful to present to our relative. He was obviously disappointed too.The taste of the cake was nothing special but it wasn’t terrible.Very disappointed for the amount we paid and the result we got, unable to do much because of the waiver we had to sign.Buyers beware of this cake shop, i would highly recommend somewhere else.

I ordered 4" Chocolate Cake online. It’s surprisingly good- a delightful balance of sweetness! Btw, It’s a little bit hard to find the store given there is no sign. The place is on the third floor!

Ordered my mom a 4" strawberry shortcake for her birthday. The cake plus a small bag came out to about $60 The cake itself was pretty good, there was a lot of strawberries and it wasn't really that sweet. Most of the cake is covered/ filled with whipped cream so you Definitely need to keep it in a cool place or refrigerated which they do say when you order. I would definitely come back and get this cake again.

Cake M is located on Sheridan on the 3rd floor and has a pretty good view from the tables outside. Inside the shop seemed to be overrun with boxes and clutter. We ordered 3 pieces of cake for about $26 and a lemonade ran about $6. The cake slices were very small (see picture). The woman who was running the shop was pretty rude. I asked for a glass of water and was given the water but also got a heavy eye roll to go along with it.My cheesecake tasted dry but I am not the most cultured guy and maybe it's supposed to be like that. I brought the chocolate cake, pictured below, back to my son who liked it alot. For the price and the service definitely won't be back.

Cake M is located on the 3rd floor of 808 center, near the stairs and I'm so glad I came. I wanted to buy a little sweet for my birthday and I love panna cotta! ***What I ordered **Mango Panna Cotta (9/10) ~ I'm not a fan of the mango texture, but it went really well with the panna cotta. There was a perfect mix of refreshing and creamy taste to it all! I really do wish that they added a little more of the mango syrup/layer with the panna cotta! But it was super good and not too sweet! Overall,I actually bought the last one (so glad I did)! It was really good! Although, it was on the pricey side. Honestly, I wouldn't mind coming back! :)

I wish I had a photo for every time I have bought my sweet treats form there! This place is a 10/10 for sure every time. I have ordered fruit cakes and cream puffs (heaven is where those puffs come from)! The service is always par for the course and are genuine service providers. If you are in need of delicious dessert head to cakeM, you won't regret it! Mahalo for making my family smile with the birthday

I had been wanting to try this establishment as I’d walked past it a couple of times going to other places.Today I decided to take my daughter in for a treat. We purchased three way overpriced tarts and cheesecakes that were virtually tasteless, and to top it off we weren’t greeted upon entering the little tiny shop either.I then proceeded to ask for a small paper plate that I saw behind the counter and she was unwilling to give me one and said that we needed to eat our treats in an outdoor style manner.I told the woman that was one of the stranger things I’d ever heard.Just how cheap can a place get to charge $7.50 a slice for a dessert and be unwilling to give a customer a plate.Definitely will not be back!!!!If I could rate you zero stars I would.

Love this place so much! Their cakes are so tasty, not too sweet, just perfect. I recommend their lemon tarts. ?

Great desserts. Not cloyingly sweet like your average American dessert shop.

Was searching for a strawberry shortcake off Yelp and cakeM came up in the top. My mom picked them up and brought two small cakes home for us to try. The cakes sat in the fridge for a couple hours. I took one and unwrapped the plastic around the sides. I could cut into it top to bottom effortlessly with a plastic fork. Good sign the cake was light and fluffy. The first bite was a mix of light cream almost cool whip in taste and texture. The cake a very light, it reminded me of a lady finger. Overall the strawberry shortcake was a perfect light cake just as I would expect one to be. If you don't mind paying a little extra for this cake, it is worth trying!

I gave up on La Palme D'Or in Ala Moana because they just got SO BAD... So I was looking for a new cake place & found cakeM! I ordered the 5inch cakeM Signature Strawberry Shortcake: Fluffy Vanilla Sponge with Fresh Strawberry and Fresh Whipped Cream PROS: TASTE The sponge cake itself was a little more dense than La Palme D'Or but still so yummy!! Everything about this cake was FRESH -- creme, bread, & fruits! CONS: - Pretty pricey!! The 5 inch will serve approximately 4 to 6 people & was $58 + tax. - They are also located in a small/hidden shop & I would have never found this location if they weren't on Yelp! - They have extremely weird hours/only open on weird days.. - Their website is a little too simple & doesn't have much info... They didn't label their cake sizes on the website & were being really weird about letting me know which cake size is a good estimate for the ones in the photos... like they we're refusing to tell me & we're gatekeeping it for some reason...

Lovely looking cakes to be had at cakeM. I picked up a variety of cakes for my family around Christmas time. The cakes were solid, but I wasn't too wowed by the flavors. I ended up going with the roll cake and the strawberry shortcake which were both very similar aside from what fruits went into them. I wish the cakes had a bit more fruit flavor to them, but if you're after a more natural taste, these will probably hit the spot. I do want to come back and try more of their stuff.

Tried this place to pick up a small beautiful birthday cake and assorted extra pastries for my neighbor after seeing numerous checks in by fellow Yeeps. Beautiful yes! Ordering online easy. I inadvertently put the wrong pick up date for my neighbors pastries and was concerned about not receiving a reply. No worries because I found out they are not open everyday and pick up date was easily corrected. After reading reviews I found out you can park in one of the stalls & mention you are running upstairs to pick up an order. I love that the cakes come in assorted sizes. I was even able to purchase a mini size for my neighbor to try. Cake M suggests you order at least 2 days in advance & check their website for specific pick up times. Everything is nicely packed for safe transport. I bright a cooler with me for the drive home. Give Cake M a try if you are looking for Japanese style, not overly sweetened desserts. Support this local small business by ordering for your next special event!

I finally got to try their Mont Blanc and it was so yummy! It was a part of their anniversary celebration and worth every penny. Only 3 because the hubby ate before I could take a picture of the others. That's how good it was!
