I enjoy their food... Prices are kinda pricey but thats expected in downtown.. I usually peek in to see if theyre wearing gloves then I'll order.. If not, I just keep walking..

I really wasn't expecting a good sandwich but as soon as I took a bite I was IMPRESSED. The tuna avocado sandwich was filled with a generous Amount of avocado, alfalfa sprouts, cucumber, and tomatoes. It tasted like it couldn't been from Whole Foods. 10/10 recommend!

Love this place. I love the simple, fresh, made to order sandwiches. For about $6 you get a delicious sandwich. I had tuna and egg salad with all the fixings. I like all the crunchy veggies like sprouts and cucumbers. They put a big fresh wedge of carrot on top of each sandwich after there companys same one would assume. My friend had the turkey bacon avocado sandwich and he said was ono.

Carrot patch offers cheap breakfast and they're open early in the morning. Their hours and prices are what probably attracts people to this establishment. After eating here for three days, I have learned a few things. The first day here, I got the 2 eggs with choice of bread/toast. I asked for scrambled and received an omelette.. okay, maybe they made a mistake? The second day, I asked for scrambled again and received an omelette AGAIN. I realized that they probably just don't know how to make scrambled eggs. I assume that they think, since they're "scrambling" the eggs in the bowl, it's "scrambled" while being cooked even tho it is literally an OMELETTE. Third day I came in, I just accepted that a scrambled egg means an omelette to them. But while I was watching the woman closely, I saw her pick at my eggs with her fingernails! Ew. I assume she was trying to take out some eggshells. As I was leaving, I saw her wipe down the stovetop/grill with a yellow cloth that she just plops back onto the dirty counter. If you like cheap and unsanitary food, then great this place is for you. But if you care about how clean a place is, find somewhere else.

My boyfriend, not being very familiar with the area, spent 20 minutes searching for this place after his doctors appointment because the menu looked great online. We finally find it and we walk in, excited to finally be eating, and the woman walks out, says "what are you having", with a completely straight face. I responded "not too sure yet, just looking" and she turned around and walked out back. This service immediately turned us off and we left without ordering. A simple smile can go a long way!

Carrot Patch is my favorite cheap eats downtown. They open at 6AM, which works perfectly for me since I'm at work by 6AM. For breakfast, I usually get the basic wiki breakfast sandwich (eggs, cheese on a toasted sesame bun for $3.00) and cut papaya ($1.50). You can add on to the wiki sandwich (ham, bacon, turkey) for an additional charge of about $1.50-$2.00 more. Esther & Leah (the shop ladies) are pretty generous with the amount of animal protein that they pack on to those wiki sandwiches. If you're more hungry than a breakfast sandwich would satisfy, they make omelettes too which includes your choice of rice, white bread or wheat bread. For lunch, usually a turkey avocado sandwich or tuna avocado sandwich are my default choices. They have a small salad bar available during lunchtime. Esther & Leah are pretty quick & manage the shop well (Esther has been there for a long time since the previous owner, Jesse opened it) so a line of people moves along quickly. They're located in Topa Tower (Bishop & Queen Streets).

I've been craving a good soup and sandwich for lunch and yesterday I manifested it. A nice woman I always see in the elevator told me about this place. She looked really happy that she walked 3 blocks under the miserable sun to get a good and decent reasonably priced lunch. She bragged that she would walk another block just to get lunch at Carrot Patch. She said she's been going there for years so I figured it must be good if it lasted that long and sure, it was ! They have various choices of sandwiches, soups and fresh salad for lunch. They also serve breakfast. The prices are really reasonable and everything is fresh. They even give you a slice of carrot on top of the sandwich - that's why it's called carrot patch and not what I thought it was called, Cabbage Patch. No many places serve soup and sandwich together. I only spent $7 for a whole egg sandwich and soup. I'm glad I found this place and I'll be back !

This place makes a decent sandwich, especially the mushroom sandwich and BLT. But, they absolutely have no idea how to make soup. I mean, every one of their soups are downright awful. Worst soup in town. How hard can it be to make decent soup? It's not hard, but they fail! They should go on google and find some new recipes. THE SOUP SUCKS!

The wikiwiki breakfast sandwich is as close as I've gotten to a BEC on a roll NYC style and for that I'm quite thankful. Plus it's reasonably cheap and pretty fast.

They do not care about their customer. If you asked for toast with butter only, you will be surprised with jelly as well. Don't care about their customer request at all. Why bother to give the benefits that they are adult and understand simple English language.

This review is solely for their breakfast. I was on the go and was craving a breakfast sandwich when I came across this place. I got the wiki wiki sandwich on a plain bagel with ham (so a ham, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich). The service was friendly and quick, and I believe it was under $5 :)
