This was our first time visiting with a gift card, and it was a bit disappointing that the LANDRY'S gift card couldn't be used at the Chart House Waikiki. However, the food was great and the service was friendly and attentive, so we were happy overall.
Steven was the Best server and our food could not have been better.. awesome place to eat with a beautiful view of the yacht club..
Ok, this Restaurant is under reconstruction on the outside! Which takes away from the harbor view. But the food is from the 1980, which is awful, lack of favor or anything else. Skip no need to go!!
Went to the Chart House in Honolulu for the first time for happy hour. First the restaurant could use some updating. We tried several pupu's. The crab cakes were miniscule and the Oysters Rockefeller were runny - don't bother. The fried shrimp and fish tacos were the only worthwhile dishes. All in all pretty disappointing.
Ate there twice in a week. Both times excellent food and service. The farther away from the bar you can sit is the quietest. Enjoy I ying the sunset over the marina was a nice plus!
It's pretty bad that the best thing you can say about the restaurant is the service of the bus boy was exceptional. Other than that, everything else was a very big disappointment. The lettuce in the salads was tired and old. One slice of the bread actually had a hole in it from when our waiter put it in the serving basket. My swordfish was swimming in a sea of muck. Mashed potatoes were cold. My wife's top sirloin was tough and chewy without much flavor. Her baked potato was cold as well. When our entrees were served I ordered a glass of wine for my wife. 10 minutes later the waiter was back asking us to confirm what kind of wine did we want. More time goes bye and the wine is finally served. But she is almost finished with meal by then. The busboy clears our dinner dishes. Again we wait for the waiter to order her dessert, vanilla ice cream. It arrived overflowing the dish and melting onto the table. Plus had a really strange taste. When the dessert was served I asked for the bill. 10 minutes later he informs me it will just a minute another 5 goes bye before it's presented. The busboy was very professional and did his job well. The restaurant was extremely noisy and not what one would expect in a steakhouse. We've eaten at other Chart Houses but none has even come close to our experience last night.
Staff were wonderful, but the dishes were clumsy and over priced. If you're wanting volume of food, perhaps this is ok, but if you want more delicate cuisine - probably not for you.
Little in the way of Gluten free however I ordered the garlic shrimp appetizer and it was amazing. Threw in some veg and rice and made it a meal. My sister loved her coconut shrimp.
We were there for an early dinner. You had a choice between the regular menu and their Shore Bird fix menu. Part of our group thought it was half an hour later than the reservationthat was made. We told our waiter, who took our drink and pupu orders. He caught the other party members when they arrived. The food I had was great, and I didn't hear any complaints from the others in our party.
Food was ok. For prices and hype I expected more. It seems the view is really what you are paying for (in my opinion)Best value was kids meal for $17 but overall don't see myself visiting again.

We enjoyed our meal very much. In fact, we have another dinner reservation in the next few days!
💯 two for 2 times so far!!! Excellent views and live entertainment as well! This place has it ALL!
Out of 6, 4 ordered the surf break. The entree portions were comfortably generous, chopped salad and tasty chowder. The ala carte entrees were enjoyed together with honey molasses bread. Highly recommend the surf break choices. We are yearly visitors to this wholesome and relaxed atmosheric restaurant. Blake was very accommodating and friendly
Bloody Mary was so watered down, and like they waved the Vodka bottle by the glass. Eggs we Rd good , potatoes were half cooked and cold. Construction happening in front and half the tables and chairs were stacked like in storage. Sorry but was disappointed
First time visiting Chart House. Went for the Surf break menu at $61 that included a Caesar salad, 9oz sirloin and creme brulee. This also include a starch of choice (garlic mashed). I also ordered Steamed Asparagus at $14. I neglected to take photos due to the disappointment in my meal. Caesar salad was a good size portion but romaine looked old. “Sirloin steak” was grey, chewy and zero flavor. Not sure if it was sou vie and given grill marks, but a huge disappointment. Im shocked they were confident in serving it. Creme brûlée was decent. The Steamed Asparagus was cooked well but for $14, I was expecting a plate of veggies. Not 4 pieces of 4” thin stalks. I chose this place because I live in the neighborhood and for the views. Sadly I will not return.
