My wife and I joined our friends for dinner tonight at Chef Chai’s. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. We all ordered off of the Early Bird menu and the food was exceptional. I have lived in Hawaii for 20 years and have never experienced such high quality food and service like we did tonight. Everything and I mean everything was delicious and prepared using the very best ingredients. I would like to thank Randy our server, the additional staff and Chef Chai for making my wife’s birthday so special.

This was my first time here and we did the set menu. The food was decent for the most part. I liked about half of the set menu dishes. The mango sticky rice was fabulous. The soup was a bit off for me and was lacking the sour. I usually love Tom yum soup. The fishe as tasty. The curry dish I was not a fan of. It was as though the noodles did not belong in the curry. The passion drink was delicious. It felt like the focus was on the fancy and less on the food. Valet parking was $7.

This is a fusion restaurant with creativity and great presentation. It is like eating on 6 stars cruise ship. If you like poke, ahi cone is a must. The taro prawn is best shrimp I ever tasted. White chocolate amore gelato truffle is to die for. The best entree is the beef tenderloin, salmon, seabass.....

Fantastic experience! The ambience was elegant and welcoming, and the service truly stood out—every server went the extra mile to make us feel well taken care of. The drinks were top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. If you’re a fan of Asian fusion, this place is a must-visit. We were even treated to complimentary chicken satay, which had a wonderfully authentic flavor. Highly recommend!

Food was decent. Waitress service was good. Hostess service was very short and somewhat rude. Sat us at a table near the bar far away from every other table in the restaurant. When we asked to sit a little closer to the entertainment she said all the tables were already reserved. Two hours later after the music stopped and we were leaving. All those tables were still unoccupied.

This restaurant surprised me with how tasty the dishes are, highly recommend trying something new each time you go because everything is delicious. Complimentary naan bread with peanut sauce and pickled vegetables.
Parking is hard to find, but there is a parking garage just a short walk away.
Service is top notch. Kristy was amazing, we want her to serve for us every time we go.
The evening/nighttime vibes were very upscale and modern.

We had a deeply disappointing fine dining experience on New Year’s Eve. The service was extremely slow—everything from the appetizers to dessert arrived late. What should have been a celebratory evening turned into a nearly 3-hour ordeal for a simple three-course meal. For the premium price, the experience was far from acceptable. While the appetizers were decent, the main course lacked flavor, and the desserts were equally unimpressive. For a restaurant that charges such high prices, the quality of both the food and service should be significantly better.
