Best boba place I’ve ever been to. I went here all the time with my friends back in 2001-2002 when I was stationed here in the Army. This place was always packed with people sitting there enjoying their drinks and pastries. My friends and I would come here and sit for an hour reading car magazines and chatting. It was a great place to escape work.
Fast forward to 2024 and I’m here on vacation. Coffee or Tea looks exactly the same but the boba scene has probably shifted more toward a takeout commodity. I took mine to go back to the hotel and it was better than I remembered. The Assam tea is of higher quality than what I’m used to in the many more trendy boba shops I’ve been to all over the country. The taro was also the best I’ve ever had. I felt the texture of fresh taro but most places that use fresh taro don’t taste as good as the artificial (purple) taro powder. Maybe Coffee or Tea uses both? Whatever they did was just perfect.
A side note, they still shake your milk tea with a bartender’s shaker cup just like they did in 2001 and probably since opening in 1999. If you haven’t tried them yet you don’t know what you’re missing.
Yum! Great boba texture. Very sweet, as boba drinks so often are.
Very pleasant cafe, workers were nice and drinks were great. Fresh mango smoothie for a great price. Cheesecake not amazing, but my friend liked theirs.
Wheelchair accessibility: The building is on ground floor with no step, but there is a step up to seating and the ordering area is maybe too small for wheelchairs to navigate comfortably.

Let’s continue to support local businesses! Stopped in for coffee and dessert and I did not leave disappointed. Had the chocolate cake - decadent and rich.

It’s a decent place to get some refreshments. Got a standard assam milk tea from here and it tasted as expected. Price is average.@Jay Koh, I don’t think the word “underrated” means what you think it means. If the average rating for a place is 4.2 stars and you give it 4 stars, that would suggest that you think it’s overrated.

underrated place for boba teas and shaved ice desserts! they don’t do the trendy stuff, but ingredients are top notch and quality is good. on the cheaper end for prices compared to touristy places near the malls. i love that they reduce plastic waste by serving in paper cups, even boba, with sealed paper tops. not as durable as plastic but we need to reduce plastic waste in our everyday lives. big thumbs up.

A hidden gem. The store is hidden away in an unassuming location, the strip mall with 7-11. It has a lofty atmosphere with decent seating options to enjoy your freshly made drinks. I would avoid the powdered milk teas and jump straight into the fresh fruit series they have. They are delicious. I love the fresh papaya milk, you will not regret it.

Service & atmosphere alone prompted me to give a 2 star. Employees were on their phones the whole time also. At least my boba drink was okay..

The azuki bean bowl has an acquired taste, but the matcha smoothie was tasty. Very quick service here and unique options. I’ll be coming back to try more!
