Had a chance to stop by this bakery today. Usually not in the area during their open times. We had the blueberry scone and a haupia/ube pastry. Everything looked delicious and it was.

The Lilikoi and Haupia Bars are our absolute faves, but my local friends rave about the bomb cakes too. Warning - closes on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Literally the best banana bread I've ever had, and apparently I'm not the only one who thinks so, it's the first thing they run out of so get there early and order an extra slice to take home!

Yes, I tried Leonard’s. Malasadas were good, just not sure it was worth the 45 minute wait. I tried Liliha, cream puffs were tasty! Several other dessert and sweets places were also crossed off the agenda But this place… oh my goodness. I will dream about this place for days to come. This wasn’t even on our radar, but we walked around after brunch at Koko Head Cafe and soooo glad we stumbled upon this. I was torn between the malasada bread pudding (I’m a fool for bread pudding) and the Malafrozada ice cream. The lovely and kind lady at the counter asked why not both? And wow. I was not misdirected. My friend had the malasada stuffed with ice cream. Delicious. Service was awesome, and the desserts? I salivate just thinking about it.

I ordered from here. The items were very heavy in dough and light on flavor. They weren’t bad. They were just not something that I really enjoyed.

I have to agree with another reviewer... great taste served by unpleasant staff. Pipeline may have benefitted from foreign tourists but after the Covid you would think they would be pleased to see locals coming in. Nope . When I arrived the two team members were each doing their own thing . You would think as the only person entering on a Sunday that one would acknowledge my presence . Nope . I am a inconvenience to them . One actually stood right in front of me and never said a word . Finally the other said “are you wanting to order something ?” Nope I just came in to see what type of overhead lighting you are using . Yes . I want to order . Sad. I had to really work to get and explanation of the daily flavors . If had to inconvenience her further by ordering cakes and cookies and other items . It is a real shame because the reviews are correct . The products are great but if I can go to lapperts for great product without the attitude why not ? It seems no one at the store reads or responds to these . So to you gentle reader. Go and maybe enjoy a good product but why not go somewhere that the team are happy we still support their incomes and have a great overall experience.

We have seen malasadas on television so when we had a chance to order from Pipeline, we took it. We ordered an assortment of coffee, cocoa, cinnamon and Li Hing. Their texture was soft and fluffy, but they had little taste. In fact, it was almost impossible to tell one from another which was disappointing. I also wish we could get filled ones, but I can see why they would be difficult to mail. Am still hoping to try some other malasadas because I was hoping for more taste from these.

Piping hot malasadas are made to order here. They can be enjoyed in a peaceful bakery setting with coffee.

Want quality ice cream? This is the place to go! They make all their own ice cream. I had a shake and it was the best thing ever... Parking is a little tricky, as we had to find a pay lot around the corner. It was just $1 for an hour. This is the place you want to go to...

I will head back to LA sorely missing the chocolate ice cream named after a Labrador Retriever. AMAZING! And my husband loved his lemon (or was it passion fruit?) bar. He saved the last bite for me and it was really good! We took back to the hotel a half dozen malasadas. Perhaps we should have eaten them hot. They were good, but I can't say any of my family members could really taste any difference between the chocolate or coffee flavors.
