Developed a case of severe food poisoning hours after eating here - something is not right stay away and eat at your own cost.
Delicious! Reminded of me of eating in Okinawa. Thank you for having this! Great value too.

7/14/24, Around 6:30pm, after waiting in a line, finally it came to my turn to order, staff who been talking order, suddenly without say anything he went in to kitchen, doing other things, and he just stared at me. I was waiting in front of cash register more than 10 minutes, same time there was phone ringing, different staff from kitchen came out and answered the phone, then took a few order from phone. I saw whole thing happened.
Another a few more minutes went, then the staff who was not talking order from me, came back to cash register.
Telling me that no more taking order because ran out of rice.
Time was around 6:45pm.
I complained to the staff that it is not fair you make me waiting, then you took phone order.
I guess this place is busy making money, they don't care about others.
I am so upset.
I will never, never, never go back there.

There is a popular curry shop from Japan located in the food court on the first floor of Ala Moana Shopping Center. There is always a line no matter when you come. (The Jolibee across from it also has a huge line, making it always difficult to get through this corridor ?). Every time we visit this place, my husband insists on eating here at least once, so he stood in line and we shared a meal together. Previously, we could eat at a small counter next to the shop, but this time the eat-in seating was closed, so we ate at the food court seating instead.??
Still good price for what to get. I did notice the portion sizeswere smaller than normal but it is thanks to Biden's shrinkflation

Presentation wasn't what you normally expect with Coco's... Have you tried cutting a chicken cutlet with a plastic spoon? Limited choices... A bit of a let down for what is typically a great restaurant chain.

I ordered katsu curry and I ate it all the portion was so small I gotta find something else to eat
The new recipe for the curry sucks. It doesn't taste as good, the flavor doesn't last as long, the sauce is not as thick, and it's more oily.

I do get to frequent Ala Moana Center as my home is nearby. So, there I was at Makai Marketplace Food Court debating what to eat.I had decided on being cheap and chose the Curry House, which turned out to be very tasty and cheap. Spicy beef curry for $9.90.The beef was very chewy and mixed well with the spicy curry as the rice mixed very well also. This was definitely a cheap eats in Ala Moana Mall.

Is good but not as good as in Japan. In Japan they use mozzarella and you can choose from different levels of spice.
