Have spent a lot of time in the Middle East and Europe so I love a good doner but wow these guys stuffed what must’ve been nearly a pound of lettuce into a shell with basically no meat. Super disappointing to the point of being almost comical if it weren’t so sad. I won’t be eating here again.

This place confuses me. I order a shawarma and when I get home it’s like a Panini! This place isn’t aware of what a shawarma is apparently. I spoke to the lady about it and she said the plate comes with pita bread and which wasn’t what I was looking for. I also ordered a side of hummus and got a condiment size of it. It was reddish and Im guessing they added a pepper or something but that’s also wasn’t what I expected. If you have variations to traditional things you should disclose that because your menu bored is vague at best. Also there was a guy working in the kitchen that was either the owner or manager but he was working without a hat or gloves and was dressed like he didn’t work in a kitchen. He was up at the register and scratched his head then I watched him handling a persons plate without washing his hands. What a shame because all these issues seem fixable and obvious to me. Most people in Hawaii don’t have any clue about this kind of food so they may not even know the difference.

When there today after hard working day., I work very closely, every time I walk by there so bz so I decided to try it MY FIRST TIME BUT THE MAN IN THE COUNTER TAKING MY ORDER WAS SO RUDE I JUST WANTED THAT SPARTAN PLATE THE WAY HE ASK ME WHAT KIND OF MEAT WAS SO RUDE. And the audacity of pointing rudely about tipping. He didn't deserve it but I did! I will not recommend that place

Amazing food and service! There aren't a whole lot of places in Hawaii that have this sort of food. So this was a very welcome change. The people there were great! Very helpful. Atmosphere was a bit more typical - focused on to go orders. But it was fine. We'll definitely be back!

This place rocks. Fare prices... damn good food. It should be a crime to have a place that is downtown that offers great food and a great price. Food hits the spot like no other especially if you dig Doner plate style. They offer meat over rice or pita so pick your poison. Look no further than Doner Shack located in downtown Honolulu.

Great options on the menu. Love the sauces included with gyro. A green sauce and the other is red. When combined it's very tasty. It has a spicy bite. Love their yogurt based sauce that's inside gyro ! You have never tasted fast food this good. Was surprised they sell Mexican soda in glass bottles. I can say it's great quality for good price. Right across from Scarlett.
Service and staff was fantastic, food was really good. I really don’t think I would label this döner but if you’re looking for lamb this isn’t a bad spot.

Service was horrible, guy at that counter was extremely rude. Telling me the steps and that I’m doing it totally backwards, and than told me to imagine hyphenated words… I just wanted to order 2 lid or kebabs with lamb…. Wasnt this difficult ordering when i was in Europe for 10 years.
