We absolutely loved the Diamond Head Luau! There were 10 in our party ages 11 to 72, and we all really enjoyed it. We did the standard buffet, and the food was delicious! The entertainment was superb and the scenery was gorgeous being right on Waikiki Beach. Memories to last a lifetime! We highly recommend!

Booked a Luau here for our family that consists of 6, 12, 14, and 19 year olds. The start of the Luau was a little slow but it moved along really well after food was served. The show was amazing with lots of history and humor. My 6 year old even caught many of the jokes. The cast stayed after the show was done to take pictures and even talk with us more. Highly recommend.

Had a great Luau experience with a well put together crew.
Good food selection, positive energy, and a fun quick story telling on island history.

Do not attend!

This was not a great experience. Though the gates open at 5:15 and the dinner "starts" at 5:30, we were required to arrive at 4:45. This was not communicated to us until a few hours prior. This significantly cut our beach time short.
Upon arriving we had the opportunity to take a picture with the dancers, which later they attempted to sell back to you, during the performance, for $35. One would think this would be included in the $150 ticket price.
There was a lack of signage of where to go. They were collecting tickets at the aquarium, which was not mentioned in any information and then were herded into a grassy area with minimal shade. Once within the holding area there was some confusion on where to go and what to do, additionally due to the lack of signage.
As the gates opened, we found our seats relatively easily. The food line was not open for another 20-30 minutes. Once open, it was a rush to get food as all 150 guests were dismissed at the same time. We had a larger group and were at the back of the line, when we got to the plates and utensils, half our group got fancy plates and the other half received two paper plates. As a reminder this is a "serve your self" luau, how can a guest serve themselves while carrying two plates?
During the show, the host was using sexual innuendos to get the audience to laugh. This being my first luau, this was not what I expected. Near the end of the show, the host could not light the torch and proceeded to try for 7 minutes while the audience watched silently.
** I did enjoy the fire dancing the last 5 minutes**
Most of our group ended up leaving early as they were disappointed with their evening. We all got food poisoning and were sick the next morning.
I discourage anyone one from attending.

This is such a cool luau experience for families! It takes place at the Waikiki Aquarium and people can get free entry to the aquarium later in their trip.
I went with my 9yo and we enjoyed the pre-show activities and thought the show was really well done! All the seats were great seats!
When we went, the food was done with tickets and several food booths where we could pick and choose which booths we wanted to sample. I heard that some days they do buffet dining so the menu options might be different.
I loved being able to walk to this luau from our hotel in Waikiki!
Parking: I found parking to be tricky. We were able to walk from our hotel in Waikiki but I also saw a lot of guests using Uber.
Kid-friendliness: I brought my 9yo and he had a blast doing the pre-show activities and he thought the show was fabulous!

Wow! What an incredible show! The cast are so talented, the costumes are amazing and the emcee is such a great storyteller. Plus, you get an incredible view of the sunset. There are also options at the buffet for vegans and other dietaries like gluten free.

They cancelled on us the day before and sent us to a different and not comparable luau in some mall. It was terrible. Trying to get ahold of management is next to impossible.
These folks - Oh my how amazing! The amount of culture they shared with us was amazing! The passion all of these performers have is incredibly intriguing to watch! From the dancing to the fire show I was in awe the entire time. We purchased VIP tickets which provided an extra drink and put you closer to the stage - I’m not much of a drinker but being closer to the stage was definitely worth it for me, but if cost is a concern I feel anyone would have a great time wherever you sat ☺️. It was just a short walk from our hotel which was huge plus and you get free aquarium tickets. If you are looking to see a Luau I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to book this!Mahalo to the entire crew and the performers for a great time!

Great luau! My wife and I went to this on the recommendation from a friend, and we really enjoyed ourselves right from the beginning and all the way to the end! We were warmly welcomed with beautiful flower lei’s and complimentary Mai tai’s - then entertained in the outer garden while waiting for the actual luau to start. There were demonstrations of how coconut fronds are used to make headbands (for all guests who wanted one), a young man climbing to the top of a coconut tree using only his hands and feet. Once the luau started we were served a huge buffet of delicious Hawaiian foods ranging from khalua pullled pork, mahi-mahi, ribs, chicken, poki, and many others - tried almost everything and found it all to be delicious (with extra servings of our favorites). During dinner we were entertained with some light history and humor of various things Polynesian. The main show got started as soon as most were finishing eating - it was a great show with a mixture of good music, entertaining dances by handsome men and beautiful women, humor, and fire dancing! We really enjoyed ourselves and it seemed like everyone else did as well! Take a chance and hopefully you’ll have the same great experience we did!
