Thank God this place is closing! One of the worst if not the worst restaurant in Honolulu. They treated their customers as though they were a burden and their saimin broth, oh my God! It smelled like a wet dog, instant turn off. I picked up two saimin special for me and my co-worker and when I brought it into my car I notice a very familiar smell of a wet dog, when I brought the saimin to my co-worker, without me saying anything, he said "This smells like a dog".

Very yummy, homey atmosphere and nice owner.

One of those classic, old school saimin joints that'll make you reminisce. Parking is often tough, as are wait times (both to get seated and to get served) depending on your timing. Saimin is not bad. Pretty good variety of non-saimin options as well: breakfast, sandwiches, beef, seafood, pork and chicken dishes, bowls and dessert. Large, family friendly booth style seating.

Much larger menu than nearby Palace Saimin, but Palace Saimin noodles are always perfect and these are sometimes a little over cooked. We sometimes come here on days when Palace Saimin is not open.

Comforting food especially for a raining day. There's not much emphasis on the customer service. The restaurant environment is truly out dated as if time stood still in the 1970's. Food is the only comforting thing.

Saimin noodles. Teri beef are terrible. The meat was boiled with a thick Teri sauce. Shrimp tempura too oily.

Great service small little place in the middle of Kalihi. Special is great.

Small local dive type diner, tucked away, with little parking. However, the Ramen Soup (Saimin) is amazing, and its low key and quaint. A must try eat in experience.

The soup base was horrible. Tempura batter had a sour taste. Waitress said it was a new batter. I used to enjoy Blvd. Saimin. Not anymore.

Great Saimin as I remember it many many years ago here. Homemade burgers and shrimp tempura on the side and I am in heaven!
