The ice cream is average by European standards. Not bad by American standards. A big plus for the pretty girl manning the point.

Went here based on reviews. No samples so not able to try more unique options. Went safe with apple pie which tasted great but was full of ice crystals. Very disappointing.

We wanted ice cream after Momosan apps, and couldn’t resist the hilarious, HONEST name! We found the shop with Google map’s help for the last minute of walking 😂. So so good. So many tasty choices. For our first time, I had brown sugar vanilla and chocolate; the husband had two dips of Kona coffee. Did I say so, so good? The proprietress was a doll, so friendly and aloha. We will be back before our Waikiki time is over. Mahalo, Double Fat Ice Cream! 🌺

Fresh ice creams and sorbets. Delicious original local flavors…they’re all amazing. Almond cookie, Honey Furikake, Roasted Pineapple…ice cream. Refreshing real fruit Mango, Lilikoi & Mango sorbet.
If you feel adventurous get the CrackSeed Delight - white rabbit ice cream (Asian childhood candy) strawberry ice cream drizzled with condensed milk, sprinkled with LiHing Powder topped with whipped cream and bubu arare (umami flavored crunchy stuff).
They only take credit cards.
Hours Mon-Thurs 5pm -9pm
Fri & Saturday 5pm - 10pm
Sunday 5- 9 pm

Not going to lie it’s a little difficult to find…you can park at Alohilani Hotel and they’ll validate. Double Fat is hidden on a side street (the backside of the Alohilani hotel) that you would only go down to get this delicious frozen treat. If you do make it out there, there’s also a pasta truck parked right next to the ice cream booth with great fresh pasta.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did 🍨

Ice cream place was low key in a secluded alley in which you would walk up the ramp to see it next to another apartment with the front of the shop pooled of water and moss(?). The pool of water could be from the AC, but the vibe was different when you’re going there at night with dim lights and stuff. But, it was a nice vibe with the music.

Ordered a Seedcrack Delight except swapped the white rabbit flavor with almond cookie flavor. The dessert was around $9. The ice cream was delicious! But I didn’t like too much with the whip cream since there wasn’t so much flavor with it. The toppings complimented the sweetness of the ice cream, which made it so good.

Employee was super patient and nice. Also, shop only accepts card, and no tap. So, bring a physical card with you. There is outdoor seating as well.

Some of the very best ice cream I've ever had. Very rich and creamy, the flavours aren't hiding from you. Unfortunately the location is hiding, about 40 meters from the main street. Worth the detour if you're walking by, definitely head down and try some.

While I appreciate that there was a minimal wait for ice cream, I wouldn't be surprised if the lines for this place become long.

Delicious, fresh, and made with love ice cream/sorbet. Take the time to find them, trust me, it’s worth the drive into Waikiki. It is priced just right. Worker was extremely nice and helpful. This small local business is not getting the attention it deserves. I thanked the worker and said I’ll be back tomorrow and I wasn’t joking. :-)

Sort of hard to find, but it's worth the search! The flavors are very strong and natural. Prices are reasonable and even less expensive than most places in the area. I'd definitely recommend this spot!

Can’t believe people go to the Haagen Dazs on the beachfront when this place is steps away, better tasting and better value.

Wow! Went for the honey furikake. The lady working described it as adventurous and sweet and salty. It has furikake, seaweed and sesame seeds topping mixed in it. I did not know what to expect but wow! If you like pecan ice cream, you should definitely definitely go for this!! Ate the whole thing less than two minutes. Could eat a whole tub. Their hours are kind of odd and don’t open till 5 so had to wait until they were open but glad I did.

There was a huge line at Häagen-Dazs and Double Fat was literally 500 ft away, had no wait and a good selection, plus it's supporting a small local business!! Kona coffee and brown sugar vanilla were both delicious!

Parking: It's an empty parking lot at the hotel

Wheelchair accessibility: Very steep hill up to the parking lot/food truck

Was surprised at the very small portion size, I hope the picture conveys the issue. I even got sorbet, which doesn’t have the ingredient cost of dairy. Maybe it was an off day for the scooper, but not a $5 well spent for me.

The strawberry icecream in the crackseed delight tasted like grocery store box ice cream. Not sure why the name is crackseed? The only other thing in there other than the ice cream was a bunch of whipcream and some grocery store asian style crackers that were too salty & tastes like seaweed. The flavors just did not go together. Several flavors were already sold out & only basic, non-unique flavors were left. Thought this place would be great based off the high reviews of 4.5 stars on google… was hoping this would be one of those amazing finds where you get quality food from food truck/stand type environment, but very disappointed. The location was shabby and the ice cream was overpriced for nothing special at all. I coulda thrown together crackers and grocery store bought box ice cream for same taste (and not $9 for a cup). Recommend somewhere like Matcha Stand Maiko where you pay less for amazing, authentic tasting quality shaved ice + softserve for a cheaper price! (An actual stand type store that blows your mind bc it’s too good.) Even the name double fat was appealing to me, but honestly just cheap ice cream slapped together with toppings that don’t go. Wish it was what I hoped it was heading there! rip

Once you finally find it avoid it and go somewhere else! The ice cream was old and crystallized with ice. Perhaps over churned but definitely a weird texture. Also I was shocked at the price for two little scoops of mediocre ice cream! The lady working was also rude and unfriendly.
