We took my in-laws for dinner here for their anniversary and we were surprised how AWESOME it was. . . My in-laws (who eat very little), ate almost all their food! My mother in law even asked to take home the sauce! My father in law doesn't eat sweets but devoured the raspberry bar and gelato! We had Koa (?) as a server and he was AWESOME!!! He was very friendly and super fast! The restaurant was very nice with high ceilings! All the food was delicious - we had the bulgogi pizza which was like Korea on a pizza, my husband had the risotto and he ate all of his (which he usually doesn't do) and my MIL had the fish and my FIL the short ribs. . . I would HIGHLY recommend et al!!!!!
Went for brunch and the omelette and the eggs Benedict were done well. Service was tardy, which was a problem for us on a business lunch schedule, but the restaurant was full. The main problem with et al is the deafening amount of noise. This is partly due to poor acoustic construction, but equally due to the management permitting very loud and probably drunk customers yelling.
Still great food! Wait staff remains great. Hostess service at the door greatly improved. Noise abatement improved as well. Great neighborhood restaurant. A go to for us where we live.
Josh was a friendly personable waiter. Great to have someone like him in a neighborhood eatery. Aloha, Frequent customer 🌺
I went with my friends for a fun brunch day. Food was very good! We unfortunately got there at a shift change so it took quite a while for our drinks and food. They were also training 2 new people in kitchen. So overall, it was nice but would like to have quicker service if we go again :)
We had the soft shell crab benedict, chicken and waffles, steamed kampachi fish, and a burger with fries. Everything was terrific and our server, Mikael was amazing. We appreciated his food recommendations and his service was exemplary. We will definitely request his section in the future if possible.
Good food great service from waiter, cook line was king of slow. Over our brunch was great.
Although we were about 20 minutes early we were seated after a few minutes wait. Our server Ryan N appeared & took our order since we already knew what we wanted- mushroom risotto and garlic chicken and mochi waffle with one coffee. The food came within 10 minutes and was the right temperature and attractively presented. The food was tasty although the chicken was a tad too salty for me. Ryan checked on us periodically and brought a coffee refill without being asked. We ordered mango sorbet for dessert & got 3 nice sized scoops which was refreshing. The noise level which was initially energetic went down after 130 when most of the crowd left. It was an enjoyable lunch and we will be returning soon.
Service attendant makes a difference. The last two times we had lunch there, the service attendant was warm, friendly, and customer-oriented. Today, not so much. Our water was not refilled, and no one asked, "Is everything OK?" We usually get that query mid-way through our lunch. And, the noise level was unforgiving. Negatively affects the ambience.
I jus ordered loco braise beef, its so yuck horrible awful and waste of money. I ended throwing it in rubbish. The egg is like rubber and the beef is hard to chew in to, the taste is sour! Maybe food is spoiled.

This is a solid place for brunch. The food is always tasty and the portions are generous. The coffee is also very delicious and they have lots of options. I like coming here with my girlfriends for a nice brunch. My only concern was that I felt rushed, because they were busy and said that they had a time limit on us.
Et Al. in Foodland Kahala impresses with its consistent quality and attentive service. On my second visit, I arrived early for a 12:45 PM reservation and was seated promptly at 12:35 PM. The restaurant's atmosphere is inviting and modern. I started with the East Coast oysters, which were fresh and flavorful. The pesto pizza with mozzarella featured a perfectly crisp crust and balanced flavors, while the chicken and waffle dish offered tender chicken and fluffy waffles. The Villa Sandi Fresco Il Prosecco complemented the meal beautifully. Though the food took a bit longer to arrive, the staff and manager were attentive and apologetic, showing their dedication to customer service. Et Al. remains a reliable choice for a satisfying meal, and I look forward to returning.
It's always a pleasant time at et al. This is my 18th time and I only been here for 5 months. This place just makes you want to connect over food with your friends and family or spark a new love interest with a date. Or chill at the bar to try a crafty drink. This place holds the nature of what it means to host.
