Et al is one of our go-to spots for brunch on Oahu. The food is so fresh and delicious. My husband loves their eggs with Portuguese sausage. I had the omelette with spinach, mushrooms and creamy cheese. It's oh so good. Their iced latte is also to-die-for. So good!

Came here for a late lunch or brunch. They were serving brunch until 2pm. The menu looked great and interesting. The food itself had the right appearance (colorful, nicely plated) but portions were a bit off. Softshelll Crab Eggs Benedict offered a single poached egg (overcooked) with half the plate being hash browns. What saves it was the lovely béarnaise sauce. The pork belly bowl components felt less complementary in cooking method and flavors. (Pickled carrots, wilted kale, roasted tomatoes. What made things awkward is that our server asked a series of probing questions (what are you celebrating, what are your plans for the rest of the day) or starting questions with a bias for good feedback. Wanted to love this place but don’t think I do.

The ambiance is so inviting! Love the aesthetics of everything. The service was very attentive, servers were friendly, answered all our questions, and were so nice when we asked for a picture taken. Food was excellent! Tasty, cooked the way we requested (ex. Medium rare) and so yummy. Highly recommend! Would be great for a date night or family dinner or just a slightly more elevated girls dinner.

I just want to start off this review with a comment about the service. Kardi was absolutely AMAZING. I loved talking with her and she was so kind and friendly. She gave great recommendations and made the night go by smoothly. Even if the food was bad (which it wasn't), I'd go back just to see her. We had a few appetizers, the Bone Marrow was delicious and full of flavor, but I'd say the Clam Chowder (not pictured because we were starving) was the fan favorite for us, I might get that as a meal next time because it was SO good. Now for the entrees, we got three. I had the Mushroom Risotto with Shrimp, it was definitely worth the hype, by then I was getting full and hadn't finished half of it. My fiancé and I split the Lobster Roll, and I wasn't expecting much because normally Lobster Rolls are small and mediocre, but this one! Was huge! The garlic aioli was necessary if you want more flavor but very worth it! We paired it with the truffle fries which were crispy and fresh another 10/10. And last but not least, their chicken and waffles. It was a Korean Fried Chicken and Mochi waffles which were fluffy and chewy at the same time, I wasn't a fan of the black sesame butter, but that's personal preference. The chicken was crispy and flavorful and is another must get. We shared the Chocolate Macadamia Tart with Kona Coffee Gelato, it was very rich and decedent my favorite part must be the lilikoi caramel, it was different and sweet and tart, but I will be trying the Banana Bread Pudding next time it looked so good! Ambiance was nice, clean, and laid back. Their drinks were delicious as well, and their wine list and beer list was extensive as well. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience and I WILL be returning and telling my friends about Et Al.

Kardi et al. This place doesn't suck like DECK/Waikiki. Unlike the restaurant DECK, the wait staff actually pays attention to the customers and checks in often. It feels as if there are waiters for all of the people, which allows for ordering to happen very efficiently and for the food and drinks to arrive very swiftly. The food here is great and is cooked picture perfect with no delays to the order.

I made a 7:30p reservations for et al on a St Patrick's sunday night, but the reservation probably wasn't needed. The restaurant had maybe 3-4 tables seated by the time I got there. The ambiance is romantic and perfect for date night. The whole restaurant being behind the door of the Kahala market is an oddity, but it's not a big deal. Some reviews also talked about slow service, but I didn't experience anything too out of the ordinary. The wait staff alsoThe menu and drinks menu was small, but diverse enough to give you choices.I recommend the matcha whey, which had a nice mouthfeel and a smooth vanilla finish, for a drink.I recommend getting the smoked tako , which was very tender and had a nice crispy crunchy on the outside, and the Hawaiian clam chowder, which was a little thinner than your typical New England clam chowder but was teeming with clams.I also recommend the citrus brined pork chop and every bite was delicious. The pork itself was moist and had a crisp edge. The pearl onion accoutrement was a little too raw for my taste and I wished the pork chop came with some starch as well.I also got the ube pave with guava sorbet. I would skip the ube pave next time and stick with the sorbet of tropical flavors.Parking: Park near the Kalahala Market; the restaurant is accessible from within the storeKid-friendliness: The environment is definitely suitable for children and great for families on special occasion.

For brunch, we had Braised Short Rib Loco Moco and Aloha Blonde from ALOHA BEER, a brewery in Hawaii. The food and beer were delicious, and the staff were all friendly and very welcoming. However, I gave the atmosphere a 4 star because there were homeless people walking back and forth outside the window. If I ever go to Kahala again, I would definitely like to visit again.

I've been a fan of this lovely little place for a while now, and it's about time I write a well-deserved excellent review! Once you are in the door, you are in a serene and relaxing world. Nothing too fancy, yet also very restful - perfect for a special meal OR a quick bite. The ambience and service is what you would expect from a well-run restaurant. In a nutshell: Food : always delicious , and plated / served in such an appealing way! Service: always gracious, attentive and genuinely NICE - no matter who our server is! The *nice* factor is a huge plus in my book, especially these days! It never seems as though they are short staffed, although who knows, maybe sometimes they are ;) - (this feeling is unlike the current dining/service experience at so many of their competitors). Drinks: this bar is well-stocked and produces consistent, perfect drinks! Since cocktails are so expensive almost everywhere you go, having a bar that gives care and attention to details (like well-chilled, beautiful glasses and imaginative garnishes) really makes all the difference! NOTE: We have a small 'movie group' that meets about once a month and very often, our choice for dinner is et al, for all of the reasons above. Sometimes out group can be quite large, and I know those big tables are never easy to deal with, but they have never given us anything but a happy and delicious experience, start to finish. Wish I had more photos. Keep up the great work, et al!!

Nice place for a casual date night but not too fancy that you need to dress up. The oysters were delicious, loco moco was very good, the tagliatelle was good, and bread pudding was yummy.

Parking: It is located in a small plaza with free parking. It was not hard to find a parking spot. Food: It has some interesting dishes that fuses Asian (Korea, Japan, China, Philippines) and traditional western food (pizza, pasta, waffle, etc.). I ordered Pesto pizza. The best part is the topping, which is ricotta cheese, instead of more traditional cheeses, and a lot of greens, which makes the pizza very fresh and not heavy. The pizza dough is not traditional Neapolitan. It is more oily and crispier than the New York style pizza dough, but at the same time lighter and fluffier. So it is interesting and worth a try. I personally would make it less oily. Another plus is the large portion size. Most restaurants nowadays have a tiny portion after the pandemic. I was surprised by the good portion size in a trendy restaurant like et al. Overall, I recommend this restaurant and would like to try some other fusion dishes in the future.

Good place to have brunch. The chicken and waffles is awesome. Paired with the mimosas and your living life right.

We arrive with no reservation and was seated immediately. Place was empty at first but quickly filled up. The server was friendly and the environment was great. The drinks were great. As for the food, it really comes to preference. It is very veggie heavy in almost all dishes. I'm not the biggest veggie fan so for me it wasn't the greatest meal. Still the place was nice and I'd come back for dinner(which seems more meat heavy)

its ok. really just ok. nicely written menu, nice atmosphere, what i would consider’good place to meet’ but as for the food… its ok. on the pricey side, you are paying for the location really. probably best to opt for the deli stuff at the connected market. good parking i ordered the popular breakfast bowl for my brunch. it was… just ok. you feel me?

I haven’t been this annoyed at a restaurant in a while. I was looking for a place to have brunch, and this was the only place I could find on Google that was in the area. As I was eating our EXPENSIVE food, my server knocked over my cup of water and spilt it all over me. My pants got soaked because it got on my seat. It got inside my shoes which I had to wear for the rest of the day. And the floor was drenched, so the waitress had to clean it up with a mop while we were having our breakfast. I didn’t make a scene because I wanted to put the server at ease but I was very uncomfortable sitting in my wet jeans. I expected some accommodation for my troubles, but instead I got nothing. I will never come back to this restaurant and I advise others to not visit, unless you are an old, rich, and snobby person.
