Small serving sizes, not very much injera for the amount of food, poor customer service (waiter kept smirking when we were complaining), forgets to put in part of our order, and tells us they only accept cash after we finish our meal. My water cup tasted like it wasn’t properly cleaned (could taste spiced tea residue). Lukewarm water.(big thumbs down)
Delicious!!Full Vegan menu?
Awesome health foods, friendly service.
Sambussas and veggie platter. So much flavor, loved it!
It was okayish. Quite hot inside even though it was very cool outside. No more meat on the menu anymore and not sure why the change. The mushroom stew was tasty, but the other dish we ordered was bland even though it was billed as spicy. Lukewarm water.
Food was amazing, fresh and good portion and get that vegetarian combo plate
My family and I got takeout from here tonight and it was so good! The food was brought out to us quickly and the staff was very kind. My only complaint is I thought the portion sizes would be larger and I was unprepared when my children expected me to share with them
Love this place. Very good food and friendly service. A bit pricey for the portions, but delicious vegan food
Delicious food that smells amazing. I'm not a vegetarian and they don't serve liquor. Still, it's worth going.
This is a beautiful restaurant. The food was amazing and I will definitely be returning!

I thought originally this place served mears, but it us a vegetarian/vegan( this was my mistzke). The lentils, potatoes. Etc, tasted great. This is from someone who eats 99%meat, and I would never be vegetarian, let alone Vegan. Taste was very good, I'm only giving 4 stars though because we need more bread with the dishes, or maybe cutlery, as I finished 2 servings of bread and we still had half a plate to go down. Abd you need to order more bread to finish, but it also makes it more expensive! The service was excellent!
We got the Ethiopian Love Veggie Sampler and it was delicious! I also recommend the Ethiopian style iced tea. Even the water was good tasting. Service was great and the environment in the restaurant was relaxed and comfortable.
One of my first stops on the island and a joy to experience every time. The food is an adventure of spices and care. I love the vegan options, and enjoy sharing my favorite wots with friends and family. The food is what you'll go for, but the experience will keep EL on your mind.
Food was awesome, service was super friendly. Couple things to note, just to set expectations: They're no longer doing outdoor patio seating, and the menu is now completely vegan. That said, they still have a lot of options & good portions.
Love this spot! The food is always more than excellent. The owners take great pride in creating top notch food over the years. I would say this is my favorite restaurant in Hawaii. What I also enjoy is that they have so many yummy vegan options! I eat meat but love all their platters. My favorite is Awaze Wot and the vegetarian platter! Also even with many allergies I can eat all their food which makes me even happier! Thank you :)
