We ordered takeout after two hikes and were quite disappointed. Both the beef and chicken dishes were extremely sweet—much sweeter than we have ever experienced in Hawaii. We have been here for two weeks now, eating local dishes regularly, and while we occasionally eat Hawaiian food back home, it has never been this overwhelmingly sweet. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this place and suggest avoiding it if you prefer more balanced flavors.

My partner and I ordered the BBQ mix plate and Crispy Fried Fish & Shrimp. Both delicious but the BBQ mix plate was the winner. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Lovely gentlemen that served us as well

Paid $15 for a pastrami sandwich that was was slightly larger than the size of my palm. for this price there should at least be a side, or a much bigger sandwich! The chicken katsu was also just okay for a Hawaiian dinner. poke was good.

What an awesome little place! The food was delicious, dinned outside and the service was delightful! Our server, Brenda made the experience so special! You could feel the Aloha! Priced fairly. I would definitely recommend!

Please update the prices on your google menu for the Hawaii Kai location. Shows $10.99 for a plate lunch but over $15 in person. Misleading info.
