High tea escapades with my girlies continue -- we were trying to get a booking at the Halekulani for our next get-together, but the available times didn't match our schedule. With the less than stellar reviews of some other places, we opted to make our own high tea fixings! I had some of the petite scones from Fendu a couple years back when a colleague brought them for the office. I've never seen petite scones before and wasn't expecting much from this cute square shaped pastry. It was literally super buttery but not greasy, didn't have too much crumble which would compromise the integrity of the rest of the scone I had not bitten into, and the flavor was amazing even without extra accoutrements. Based on that one experience, I decided my contribution to high tea was to buy macarons from another shop and some pastries and scones from Fendu. I opted for 8 petite scones, 4 of the mango and 4 cranberry. 3 cakes, the white chocolate mango mousse, guava strawberry cheesecake (rose shape), and the Valrohna raspberry milk chocolate "Apo". Additional pastries - the lychee Danish tart, pear tart, and 2 black forest ham and cheese croissants. Scones - perfection! Mango and raspberry had little bits of dried fruit in the scone, so the bread itself isn't necessarily fruit flavored. The girls commented that these scones could be one of the best they've had, ever. Cakes - the majority favorite was the white chocolate mango mousse. I personally preferred the guava strawberry cheesecake. We all agreed the cakes were lighter than them seemed, and didn't make us feel guilty. Not as sweet as we expected, which is a great thing! Raspberry chocolate was okay too, but not spectacular. I divvyed up the tarts for the girls to take home but took the ham and cheese pastries for my father. It didn't seem like it suited his taste. I wish I tried the lychee Danish and will try to go back for a bite. Prices aren't cheap at this bakery, but alot of Manoa residents were in and out (bakery located at the back lot of Manoa Marketplace) the entire time I was there. The breakfast sandwiches, paninis and home baked breads seem to be very popular here. The sandwiches smelled amazing and were reasonably priced. I would definitely make the trip to the valley to get scones! Maybe pick up a sandwich and a danish.

I will give ZERO if I can. It doesn't matter how good the bread tastes. The short hair lady's attitude is the worst I've ever seen. So RUDE. There's a feeling that the whole world owes her something. My desire to buy anything has suddenly vanished. It was a pretty bad experience.

Some solid pasties here, but not all taste of what they're named after! The lychee danish was super light but the pastry was properly crisp. Lilikoi cheesecake tasted just like a normal NY style cheesecake but was yummy nonetheless. The mango scone tasted just like a plain scone and the cranberry one was also very light, but both were fluffy inside with a crisp exterior.Overall, favorites were the panna cotta with fresh fruit (refreshing and not too sweet), the guava rose shaped cheesecake, and the pear tart. We do wish that there could be less packaging used - we got individual plastic containers for everything which generated a lot of trash.

Been coming here for years because of their scones and croissants but one of the cashiers is very rude and not friendly at all. She will be the reason why I don't come back. She's usually working Saturday mornings (that's when I usually go) so if you want to avoid a bad attitude don't go on a Saturday. Very disappointed that she treats customers that way especially ones that have been coming here for years.

We've always thought the baked goods were fine, but had a similar experience today with the same lady who has been mentioned below. She bullied the nicer staff member who helped us, and was outright rude to us as well. The mask may (mostly) hide the disgust on her face but the eyes say it all. Some people should just not be in a position of customer service. It drags down what might be an otherwise great establishment and makes us very hesitant to return when after diving from across town and spending hard earned money we're left feeling full of negativity. What a shame!

Amazing and most delicious pastries in Hawaii. Heard a lot of good reviews over the years but until you go there in person in the mornings to taste their pastries, it's unbelievable.

I love how convenient and easy it is to get in and out at Fendu. The parking lot of Manoa marketplace is ample and easy to get in and out. I like to get a few of their bakery items as gifts to bring to doctors offices. My favorite item is the fresh breads especially the sourdough. My kids like to try each of their beautifully made desserts in the display cases. The service is usually one or two ladies behind the counters. Depending on customer orders the line can be long. They do run out of some items like their bread so make sure to get there early enough.

Is a 3.5 stars. Service so so, the taller lady with short hair and glass seems not happy and not friendly when assisting. Other lady was better. Breakfast panini is good, definitely recommend. Eat it when is hot. Lychee danish recommend, danish is flaky but lychee just canned lychee. Desserts not recommended, not too sweet but not outstanding either. If you are in the area can stop by. But I won't drive out of the way to here.

Extremely RUDE woman, possibly the owner took my order. After taking my order she mumbled something under her mask and behind the clear barriers. I politely questioned what she said and she screamed, " YOUR NAME??" She then proceeded to ROLL HER EYES at the young boy working at the register. I do not want to support a small business that has employees who are DISRESPECTFUL and RUDE. Was it loud and busy in the store? No, there was only one other customer in there. Was it late in the afternoon right before closing? No. 11:30 in the afternoon. I get it, we all have bad days but to take it out on a customer is truly unacceptable. I will no longer support this business after coming here for years.

The baked goods and pastries are very good as compared to their counterpart served in france. The exceptionally unfriendly staff, high prices, and absurd use of single-use plastics have ensured that I'll not be returning.
