I found this place by accident looking for Mexican food. Instantly loved the gyros! It has perfect balance of ingredients and their Greek salad is excellent. My visit here was satisfactory. The employee was friendly taking my order and had it ready in 15 minutes. Now my favorite place for my Greek food cravings.

Welcome to the Greek Grotto – where even the gods themselves might hesitate before taking a bite! Our falafel gyros are a culinary adventure you won't soon forget, though perhaps for all the wrong reasons. Picture this: a gyro so dry, even the Sahara desert looks like a water park in comparison. And don't get us started on the hummus – it's like someone accidentally dropped a sandcastle into a blender and called it a dip.But hey, we knew what we were getting into, right? Despite the warning signs of a two-star review looming over us like a dark cloud, we bravely marched forward, forks in hand, ready to conquer the culinary battlefield. Spoiler alert: the fault was indeed all ours. Now, let's talk about the service – the silver lining in this cloud of culinary calamity. Sure, you can't eat the service, but at least it comes with a side of fast and friendly smiles. It's like being greeted by long-lost friends who are just as puzzled by the food as you are. They may not be able to save your taste buds, but they'll certainly lift your spirits – or at least distract you from the impending gastronomic disaster. So, if you're looking for a dining experience that will leave you scratching your head and questioning your life choices, look no further than the Greek Grotto. Just remember to bring your own packets of hot suace cuz they will send you to the next stall to steal from the Mexican restaurant.

I like this place but the service has been really bad for a few months. I waited 20 minutes to order without being acknowledged and there was no one else in line. I asked if they weren’t open and was told by the female worker that they were. When I asked if I could order, she said “if you want”. Took another 15 minutes to get my single gyro. I just really wanted a gyro today. 5 other customers waited and walked away during that time.

This place probably needs to shut down. I got a gyro and my stomach has hurt for two days. Service wasn’t very good either.

Located in Kuhio St Food Hall in International Marketplace, which is an upscale food court. Prices are high at all eateries but this one might be the healthiest option available. Glad I didn't look at the reviews before I ordered here! I really liked my gyro salad. The cucumbers were sliced really thinly, lettuce was very fresh, dressing was delicious. I ordered with no cheese or onions. Would order again.

Yum! Quick and delicious. Loved the beef lamb combo and tzatziki wasn't overly garlicky.

Found in the Kuhio Avenue Foodhall, this is such a hidden gem. The beef was tender and flavorful plus the sauce was the perfect touch. They don't skimp on portions, this is to say you will be holding onto your gyro for dear life while trying to finish it. Service was quick - I went at around 4:30-5 and my food was ready in under 10 minutes. The foodhall this is in runs like a food court so there is quite a bit of noise and crowd. They provide outdoor tables for seating but you can easily take this to the beach if you prefer.

Food was meh but service was good. The thing about Greek grotto is that it’s not authentic Greek- it tasted more like Mediterranean! No roasted potatoes or salad with meal. It tasted OK but no Greek authenticity whatsoever. We won’t be back….

The best place I've found in Waikiki for vegetarian fast food at a reasonable price. They serve very fresh Greek salad and rice bowls. You can add falafel to either one or if you're not vegetarian or vegan, they have several meat options. My choice is the Falafel Gyro wrap. It's delicious and I will definitely be coming back for more.

We stumbled upon this place in the Kuhio food hall in Waikiki and I'm so glad we did! There were a lot of option around but I love Greek food and wanted to try. My husband got a beef/lamb gyro and I got a salad. They were both delicious! I would definitely go back again if I'm in Waikiki. The price was normal and we got a lot of food. We were both stuffed after. The food came out pretty quickly as well. It's in a food hall so it's pretty busy and crowded but we were able to find a seat. I think this is a great place to stop if you want something a little different

We stopped by the food court to grab a quick lunch and were in the mood for some Greek food, it looked great, but we weren’t even able to order. When we walked up to the cash register, one of the employees just looked at us like we were a bother for trying to order. We ended up waiting for about 15 minutes while the staff completely ignored us. I understand being busy, but they didn’t even let us know that there would be a wait or anything. After 15 minutes of waiting, somebody came up to buy a bottle of water, she was behind us in line but they rang up her purchase and then continued to act like we weren’t even there. I’ve never experienced anything like this before while ordering food and wish I had checked the reviews beforehand, as this seems pretty common place here.

Honestly, if I could give no stars, I would. I love Gyros but couldn't even order. We stood for about 10-15 minutes waiting to make an order. We decided to go to hashi and Spoon, where they took our order and greeted us immediately. A little girl cut in front of us to buy water where they took care of her immediately. We were not even simply acknowledged. They don't even smile!

First time we’ve eaten at The Greek Grotto. The Greek Salad was so fresh & the dressing light & flavourful. The Lamb was tasty & the cooked rice not gluggy or clumped. Service was adequate. The food hall was clean, good atmosphere.

Food was meh but the service was horrible. I learned to always check reviews before I go anywhere now. I walked up and asked if they were open because most of the other places didn’t open until 4. The guy responded by saying “are you serious? I’m making food then I’ll get to you” I didn’t even know what to say so I just waited while he proceeded to make a single gyro even slower over the course of 15 minutes. I was going through emails when I looked up and he was just standing at the register, didn’t even tell me he’s done just standing there waiting. After I got my food I saw he just looked so miserable that only one other person got food in the 45 minutes I was in the market. He should get a job as a garbage man I think his attitude would be more fitting there. Even worse is he’s a middle aged man, it’s sad.
