On Fort Shafter - not really opened to the public. You either need to be in the Military or be sponsored onto base. There were 3-4 small meeting rooms which can be turned into a ballroom.
Great atmosphere, nice location. Decent food.
Our go-to place to have our association's monthly luncheon. Just wish the Army MWR would hire more people and bring it back to daily service.
Hale Ikena Sucks for having a Party.
Nice place for a lunch meeting. Very good food.
Good for any functions 2to 3hundred guest
If you are civilian and not on the guest list you will have to go to register at the guard shack entrance at Tripler Hospital which is a 5 minute drive away, this is understandable since it's a military installation, just a heads
The space is really good. The food was really good in my taste. I wish they had some toddler type foods but then again you're paying by event. They usually accommodate to the party. The people are friendly to work with. I love that Samoan lady who helped us ??
Good place to hold events. Nice facility, both on the inside and outside. Professional staff. Some of the rules for events are oddly specific. The food is a bit meh, but it’s very budget friendly.
Hale ‘Ikena was Excellent Venue for a Forum. Facilities Spacious and Service Superior.

You can have a catered private party there. There is Polynesian lady (don't know her name). She did a great job in creating a welcoming, accommodating and enjoyable evening.
If you're thinking of getting the Christmas Eve dinner, I would say DO NOT do it. The prime rib was overcooked, dry, and sliced thin. The green bean had no flavor, the mash potatoes were OK, and rolls were regular. The only good thing was the apple pie.

Locations is beautiful, however they need to update their policy to state that they can pick and choose who has priority and remove the "first come first serve basis" currently written on their policy. They also need to state that the 4 increments does not include weekends... and not say "that's what they do". If that's what you do then it should be clearly stated in your policy. If the room is available and hasn't been paid for then it should be fair game. It look like they're allowing people they know to have priority. Saying a military member requested and you've been coordinating for months is unfair, since I'm also a military member that's coordinating 9 months out and able to pay deposit immediately.
Facilities were great, lots of parking, and a bar. Food was great also. Lost 1 star because sadly the bartender did not to cocktails. Lots of choices to choose from, but mixed drinks (alcohol and soda) is the only cocktails available.
