Great overall, but the lighting is terrible
If you happen to be in any of the tables directly out from the 4-light lighter, you'll only see half the show because the light shine into the crowd and blind you the whole time. It was so bad we had to leave halfway through.
The best Luau on the island. However you must be military related. Have been many times and always very happy with the show and the great food.

We loved this Luau, it was super traditional and they even showed you the Pork being taken out of the cooking pit.

Amazing grounds, beautiful hotel and the Luau they hosted was beautiful.
The food was exceptional, and the beach side bar they offer was amazing, as they had some extremely talented late night music available.
Overall a great experience for military members and vets to enjoy.

This was a great event to celebrate our time back in the Islands. The entire event was well done from the arrival with the free drinks and picture line to the patriotic closing. For highlights, there was humor throughout the entire show, with one liners sprinkled throughout every event. For those who enjoy the Jungle Cruise, it was the same type of humor, just delivered in a more authentic element. The dancers were amazing and because you had seen many of them before the show, it made it seem more personal and connected. The food was delicious with huge portions. None of us could finish our plates despite how delicious it was. For anyone who can attend the event, I strongly encourage you to. We have attended luaus throughout the island and this one keeps us coming back with guests. The only drawback is the acoustics as depending on where you sit, your ability to hear the words may be limited. But that is a minor issue for such an amazing event.

We had a great time at the luau and show at the Hale Koa. The entertainment was outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the different Polynesian island dances and the fire dancer. The food was good but too much meat! (As if that were possible ) I mean fish, pork, chicken, and beef it all tasted good and I was actually glad I had a 20 minute walk to get back to our hotel. Pricey but well worth it.

The Hale Koa Luau is a fantastic cultural experience that truly captures the heart of Hawaii. The evening was filled with vibrant performances, from graceful hula dancing to powerful fire shows — each one beautifully showcasing Hawaiian traditions and storytelling.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure everyone felt welcome and comfortable throughout the evening. The service was smooth and well-coordinated.
Instead of a buffet, the luau now offers a fixed menu, which was well-presented and delicious. The portions were satisfying, and each course highlighted authentic island flavors, though it would have been nice to have a bit more variety or choice.
The seating felt a bit crowded, and the show could have been slightly longer for the price. Still, it’s a fantastic cultural experience and a memorable night in Hawaii.🌺✨

Not a legit luau. No fire dance. Corny jokes. A sing-along for a song from a Disney movie. The food was mediocre. Service was fine. It’s cheaper than anywhere else, it seems but, you get what you pay for.

Great show! I love the part of making bracelets made out of flowers. The food was okay, big portions. We love the appetizers. I had the vegetarian meal, didn’t eat the kimchi rice- too spicy for me. My sister and her friends enjoyed the meat. The performers were very talented, very friendly & nice- they allow the guest to take pictures with them after the show. The food server was very nice and friendly.

I highly recommend this experience on Oahu, especially for kids. The number of activities they have for little ones before dinner was amazing. The site was also fantastic and highlighted cultural dances from around the pacific, not just Hawaii.

Food was just so-so (as far as taste). The selection was decent (chicken, fish, and pulled pork, with vegetables). The show was decent although I wished it had more historical/cultural presentations as they were very informative and enjoyable.
The atmosphere was excellent and the staff was very attentive and polite.
