Excellent, high quality plate lunches cooked to order. Check their Instagram for daily specials.The rib eye was well seasoned and flavorful. The shrimp tempura is some of the best I’ve had. Thai chicken was also unexpectedly good. Hamada is now my new go to spot for local plate lunches. Highly recommended.

Hamada General Store is a great find in Honolulu! My family and I enjoyed their specials and regular menu, which was nothing short of delicious. If you're coming here for the first time, the directions may take you behind the building - keep going down Queen St. until you see the green paint... we learned the hard way! The restaurant itself is spacious and clean with a decent amount of seating. Their team is accommodating and our food came out within a reasonable time. All of the plates were tasty and came in large portions! We definitely took some left overs home to enjoy later.

Wanted to get out of Waikiki because all the popular places were too busy for breakfast/brunch.Found this hidden gem on Google. 10 min drive from our hotel.The good:Katsu curry plate was money.Breakfast jack burger was solid. Can't go wrong with a brioche bun.Very good portionsPlenty of space to dine inViet coffee, not too sweet, could be a bit stronger, 20oz good enough to share with the wifePlenty of free parking ?The bad:None!Honestly one of the best meals on this trip. Better than all the other restaurants that were pushed to my Insta feed.Can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu

What can I say about this place besides good foods and their menu for lunch changes I believe everyday. The choices that they have is creative and I would've charged more for their creation due to the dishes does not look low quality at all. I was so happy I got to finally tried it and it reached my expectations.

A hidden gem.The food was great, very flavorful, and good-sized portions. Service is quick and ready fast. Ambiance was nice, cute little place off Queen Street. 2 buildings away from the bank. This little place has friendly staff and good food. We went as a group for lunch today and had an amazing experience. They have an Instagram where they post a full menu of their daily specials. Quite a variety but sells out fast.

The food the other morning 11-1-23 was excellent my daughter had the rib eye steak I had the Teriyaki black truffle burger n fries and it was delicious as always. I had a Vietnamese iced coffee was outa bounds good. The service is awesome we ate inside wasn't busy at all. The ambience was chill good music not to loud had a TV on too. My daughter came all the way from Nanakuli so I had to join her of course now that I live Kalihi I'm gonna try more places to eat out and share with everyone my honest opinion. The food is great the price is worth a great meal you must try it I'm sure you'll like it.

This spot is tucked away a bit. I walked from Ala Moana Beach Park and got a bit lost haha Almost couldn't find it, since Apple Maps was throwing me off, but so glad I did. I was able to try their Ahi Katsu Burger, which was on their Specials Menu that changes regularly. It was soooo good. And tons of fries came with it. Plus I had to try the mac salad, and that was great too. Service is very friendly. You can check their Instagram daily to see their specials. There's a lot of great plate lunch spots on Oahu - add this one to your list!

My favorite items here is still the Salmon Katsu and Kimchi Pastrami Rueben. Both have been consistent and delicious. The fries, however, are sometimes crispy and other times limp and taste like it's been fried in old oil. Hit or miss with the fries and sometimes the specials. The Tonkatsu burger is also very thin and not as tasty as their other items. Prices have gone up, but the portions are still large.
