Excellent food and service!! I went there with my two boys march 5th at night. They were so helpful and amazing. Our server (wish I remembered his name) helped us cook our meat since we were a bit confused and kept checking on us the whole time. The food was seriously delicious. Ive been to Korea and I can say this was just as good as kbbq there. I had kimchi stew and it was soooo good! I also loved that it didnt have shrimp paste since I have allergies. They accommodated my son who is gluten free only also. This place is such a gem. It was our last night in Honolulu and Im soo glad our uber driver recommended it. A bit pricey but all kbbq places are. The atmosphere is also nice and I like that everyone has their own booths with separations. The area is close to a main mall and felt like a safe area.

Probably the best Korean food in Hawaii. The place is very clean, great food, has parking, and most importantly the food is very good!! Highly recommend, and just across the street from Ala Moana Center.

Amazing kimchi soup. I wish the meats platter came in half size. Sometimes the service is slow. But food is amazing

AMBIANCE We arrived before opening, parking behind the restaurant was ample-10 stalls?? Comfortable 2top and 4top booths, tables and spacing. Clean and modern interior, picture windows for good lighting and people watching. SERVICE We got there 10:50 and allowed to get a table with no reservations. Comfy cushion chairs outside to wait on. They thought of everything. The 2 young gentlemen were adorable, friendly and informative. FOOD The reviews were right. Don't waste your time going elsewhere. I'm serious! Everything was excellent. Hot barley tea to start. I didn't even need to ask for it. Variety of ban chans, we didn't even need to replenish. We ordered 2 combos--Kalbi/Cold Noodle and Kalbi/Tofu Soup. Kalbi arrived on sizzling platters, over onions; tasteful and tender. The cold noodle was another smash hit - chewy with a tasty refreshing broth, ice in it keeping it cold. Spicy sauce, mustard and vinegar to season to your liking. Whether hotpot multigrain or white - it was quality. Ordered MeatJun takeout - home run there too. OVERALL OK you pay a little more, but it's worth it. Grand slam! I'll definitely return. P.S. on our way out the Ginseng Chicken soup looked delicious;)

On a rainy day, it was convenient to be able to enter the restaurant directly from the parking lot using the back door. Above all, it was neat and really delicious with a clean interior atmosphere! I was satisfied with the side dishes and friendly service, so I recommend it!

What the heck -- 5 stars! Let me just say, HANGANG in Kakaako is the real deal when it comes to Korean cuisine in Honolulu. It's like I've been searching on this island for the epitome of Korean flavors, and bam, HANGANG hit me with the best I've ever had. We decided to indulge in the beef combination B, tossed in some cold noodles, potato pancakes, and, of course, couldn't resist the short rib. Every bite was a journey through flavor town. Now, let's talk bon chons -- these side dishes were a game-changer. The variety was mind-blowing, with enough choices to have a little tasting party at your table before the main course even arrives. And the best part? They keep 'em coming! From classic kimchi to unique dishes I've never even heard of, each added its own pop of flavor to the meal. The vibe inside? Sleek, modern, and just so inviting. Coupled with service that makes you feel like royalty, it's hard not to love this place. Yeah, the prices are a tad higher than your average Korean BBQ spot, but trust me, it's worth every penny for the quality of food and service you're getting.

Great little spot. For a Korean bbq place, it wasn't extremely smokey. You do walk out smelling like food but it wasn't overwhelming like others. The food was extremely tasty. The pork lettuce rolls were a great way to start our meal. The meat, not too thin, nice marbling, generous portions, fantastic quality. Our server did make a couple mistakes but quickly rectified them. To his defense, it was a really busy night. He was kind and quick on his feet. I think a huge bonus was getting here early and being able to take advantage of the ample parking behind the restaurant, often an issue at most venues in the area. All and all, great experience and look forward to coming again.

Wowwww wow wow!! After searching for "Korean bbq" and finding this place through yelp I can see what the hype is all about with all the yelpers! This place is truly a GEM! From the PRIME grade meats to the exceptional customer service. It is truly amazing! Tae is such an amazing & attentive employee! Always coming by my table to make sure everything was ok. ALL the employees was above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this place for their PRIME grade meat selections & quality customer service!! I'm definitely going to be a regular and will be returning soon!

This was the experience I was looking for. *Fantastic and attentive service *nice alcohol choices *a cozy but spacious venue for large groups *quality meat *varied menu items *reasonable prices *parkingNot the best bulgogi I've had, but that's not why I went anyways. The combos are well worth it, especially with just a touch of the Hawaiian salt.I really enjoyed this place overall and will definitely return.

Hangang is a more expensive kbbq experience that my cousins highly recommended due to the fresh and quality cuts of meat. Call for reservations beforehand. I called about 30 minutes prior to heading over and snagged a table for 2, otherwise you might have to wait if you're a walk-in. Alternatively, you could walk-in after 9PM as the place starts to die down (open til 11PM). Ordered the prime beef course meal since it was my very first time. I wanted to order the tripe and chives meat entree (for 2) as well, but they were out of stock. I also tried to order some grilled duck, but they got too busy and forgot the order *which in hindsight was fine since the course meal was very filling. The banchan come out first, which I had ample time to taste test since the meats took forever to come out!! Banchan here for the most part are varied and beautifully presented some of the dishes are definitely misses. I appreciated the sliced and seasoned king mushrooms and the napa cabbage kimchee - both very good. The shared salad is also very nice and refreshing. Meats when they did come out were portioned on the smaller side. We agreed that the wagyu sirloin wasn't as delicious as the prime outskirt or cube steak. The brisket was okay. Kimchee pancake and steamed egg dishes were forgettable, as was the spicy bibim naengmyun (spicy cold arrowroot noodles). The soft tofu stew had ample tofu and seafood bits which was tasted amazing, albeit salty from some msg. Rice is regular white rice. I'll probably come back to purely try the meat menu, no combinations or pre fixe courses. Will try more Japanese wagyu dishes, gopchang, and duck. Then I'll pass final judgment. So 4 stars for now just because it was a nice experience and we were pleasantly full. Service was on the better end of the scale (they have a call button - but don't abuse it!) however wait staff do not cook the expensive meats for you (definitely do not have the time! Which is fine). I don't think the other Korean dishes on their menu (stews and other entrees) are worth the price points.
