The guy taking our order was very patient and kind. I ordered a Chicago dog combo and it was nothing special. The fries were tasty but small serving of fries. My kids ordered a kids pack and the fries serving was even smaller. Not worth the trip from kailua. I would reccomend it if you are starving and need a small bite to eat.

The dogs are good, but their burgers are also some of the best on oahu. Clean, fast, and you can also bring your food outside to the eating area or picnic tables, or even to village beer.Parking: Free for the 1st hour in the parking garage, but easy to get validated by any of the businesses here if youre here for more than 1 hour.Kid-friendliness: They have a lot of kid friendly menu options

Ok I love this place. BUT the Chicago dog had a weird pepper in it. It was still good just had a weird pepper. For those of you that had one you know that the pepper inside a Chicago dog is yellow not green green. The french fries were really good and crispy and had the right amount of salt added to them the curry ketchup taste like it had a little bit too much curry inside of it, but it was still tasty. There was a strange vibe inside. I'm not sure if the owner sold the place or what the quality is still there but it just looks a little bit different inside.. if you want to eat inside, there is very limited space there are tables outside around the corner.

If Hank's Haute Dogs got actual Vienna Beef dogs they'd then earn their five stars. I'm from Chicago. I grew up with Chicago dogs. The taste is there, but it's missing that signature snap of a true Vienna Beef Frank. Other than that, there is a real nostalgia to the place. The workers are very kind. I definitely recommend them, just wish they went the further mile for authenticity.

The food is prepared very poorly. The kitchen is visible from the counter and it's so dirty that I'm surprised that they pass health inspection. They all have bad attitudes towards customers so the service is really bad with the over priced everything.

Hank's Haute Dogs - where stars align! 5-star service, location, cleanliness, and food. A gem in Kakaako's SALT area with a variety of hot dogs and now burgers too! The owner went above and beyond to serve a stellar burger, and it's a burger haven in an island of disappointments. Solid dogs, solid burgers. Truly awesome.
I know what you're thinking: Who comes to Hawaii to eat hot dogs? We did and you should too! This is a cute and quaint spot with the yummiest hot dogs I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Oh- the pineapple freeze was delicious too! Last, but definitely not least, the service was fast and friendly!

Tried their Chicago Dog which is described on the menu as "#1 Genuine Vienna all-beef dog steamed in a poppy seed bun with all the classic toppings" -- it was fantastic. I added some ketchup and mustard for some extra character but it was fine just the way it was topped off with onions, tomatoes, pickles, and peppers. Hank's is located in a busy outdoor shopping plaza, but plenty of metered street parking can be easily found. The shop is small so no indoor seating but there is plenty of patio space to enjoy your meal in the beautiful Hawaiian weather.

Amazing hot dogs, come in individual boxes. Each hot dog comes with a moist towelette and a mint, which was very thoughtful. ?The Hawaiin and Chicago dogs were very good. Highly recommended. They also have daily specials worth exploring.

For the rest of December, Hank is featuring his Bubble Bar Popup offering several sparkling wines by the glass or bottle along with special appetizers and some of his regular menu on Wednesdays between 5:30pm to 8pm. You can reserve tables for 4 or 6 (there are 2 more Wednesdays this month). We sampled the Gondolino Prosecco and A. Margaine Brut Rose to pair with the HankBurger with Truffled Cheese Sauce (love the char on edges of the burger), the classic Chicago Dog as well as the Truffle Mac n Cheese (which reheated nicely in the microwave the next day) and Burrata on Tomato Concasse on both grilled BreadShop baguette and toasted brioche. A great way to relax during the hectic holiday season!
