We had a large group of people for dinner. The food was good, and there were planet of left over that we took home. Full course with soup, salad, Peking duck, etc.

The worst of the worst, in terms of service... and also issues w/ food freshness, and with sanitation. Avoid if possible. I have visited a number of times, but things have gotten incredibly bad over the past year. Numerous issues w/ dim sum smelling and tasting old/unfresh. Orders constantly wrong, and especially a problem for takeouts, where you don't realize it until you get home. Staff is VERY rude to customers. I have witnessed cringe-worthy things. Today, a server who was rushing around bumped into a very elderly lady near the cashier, and dropped 2 plates of food she was carrying, which crashed to the ground, cracked, and made a big mess. Server immediately started accusing the poor customer... and it was server's fault! That is just one of many... I could go on and on. Management is horrible... they will not do the right thing if THEY make a mistake with your order. They instead argue with you! Also, horrible sanitation... I've witnessed really gross actions by staff. I used to like this restaurant, but will not be returning... too many bad experiences. Duk Kee very nearby has much better food and the service is not terrible like Happy Days.

It might just have been us, but I was very overwhelmed when I came here. It was very busy and we were set at a table and didn’t know how ordering worked. No one came up to us to take our order, it felt very informal and a little chaotic but maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be? The dim sum carts had delicious options and that’s all we were able to order since we tried to order other options but we were told it was on another cart but that cart never came. I’d probably recommend coming if you’re only interested in getting dim sum or ordering for pick up. This was a little too loud, busy, unorganized, and crowded for my taste.

Disgusting, dirty, dismal - who would eat here??? Don't be fooled by photo, it's about 30 yrs old! From the moment you walk thru the dirty old doors to the inside, it's horrible. Junk, trash & debris everywhere, old tables, cracked chairs & filth all over. There's even an old empty fish tank that hasn't been cleaned in 100 yrs; this place looks like it hasn't been cleaned in decades! Just looking at it made me lose my appetite! Wonder why the health dept hasn't shut this place down! And the dim sum & food not good either. Skip this place.

This is just a quick comment about the food we had at happy days. First of all it was packed as it is Chinese New Year's. The beef broccoli was excellent. The stuffed duck was very good. Probably my favorite dish. But the Jai was one of the worst I've had. The Jai at the Neighbor restaurant up the street, Duk Kee, was much better. Happy days was mostly Long rice, and very bland. I don't remember it being this bland last year. Just to be fair at Duk kee the jai is slightly sweet for those of you who don't like it sweet you may not like Duk kee. But the one they had an oyster. OK the number of stars I chose is mostly because of the Jai. Other dishes were good. FYI the bathroom does need to be updated

food and staff is good. i think the restaurant could tidy things better and the restaurant would have a cleaner look and vibe. other than that the food is good

I went in on Chinese New Year. I understand that they were very busy but when it was my turn to order they were EXTREMELY rude. I ordered gau which was written on sign as $9.50 each (I got 2). I gave $20 but did not receive any change. When I questioned for my change the lady immediately changed the price from $9.50 to $10.00 each and said no change because of tax. She yelled this at me. I left because I didn't want to deal with her rudeness anymore. I know that 11 cents is very little, but it's the principle that matters here. They lack honesty which is quite sad. This isn't the first time that their customer service was poor. I will not be going back any more.

Food was good but they charged me for extra food that I never ordered. They didn't refund it. That's not acceptable that I paid for their mistake. They advertised take out get 10% discounts for using credit card/15% discount for cash at inside and outside of the restaurant but they said no more...it's misleading advertising. I have been this restaurant with my family and my friends a lot of times but I will not be going back.

Happy Days has become very expensive and the portions of food smaller. Ordered steamed manapua. When I got home and checked the box it was disappointing more shocked to see four small pieces of manapua (minipua). The size of a little more than a half a dollar with about a teaspoon or less of filling mostly liquid and not very tasty. Had I known the minipua was that small would have never purchased it. (was not paying attention to the lady packing the bag was looking at the joong). It cost $7.00 for four small pieces. Shameful if this keeps up they will lose business. How does one take pride in ones cooking and business selling below standard size food and overpricing. I will be driving to Royal Kitchen for manapua. Would be nice if the workers smiled and were friendly.

Find a dim sum place has been challenging especially coming for the San Gabriel valley area. I was disappointed that the sui mais didn't taste fresh and have any flavor like I am accustomed to. The lo mai gai was muddy rice that was not because it was sticky rice but mushy for some reason it didn't come off the leaves easily. The ha gow was not tasty either the bamboo shoot and ginger taste it was bland. The lo bok go was the best thing I had. It was pan fried and served hit so maybe that's why I liked it. The hom sui gok was as fine but it was alittle mochi chewy but not a good taste I. The dough and the filling needed more salt or something. We got 12 different things and it was not satisfying at all. They used to have a local discount and there was none. The only thing I liked her was that they pushed the carts and you get that nostalgia feeling before pandemic. I was excited but for me it is all about the flavors and not lack it here.

Dim Sum for dinner on a Monday night. We had the minute chicken noodles to accompany our dim sum selection of seafood wrap, stuffed eggplant, scallop dumplings, shrimp chive dumplings, and pork hash. The restaurant was not very crowded so we were seated and served quickly. My favorite was the minute chicken noodles and stuffed eggplant. It was very tasty! As for the dim sum I enjoyed our selections but I have also enjoyed dim sum at other places as well. I'm a dim sum fan for sure. Ambiance was like many Chinese restaurants. This one was colorful with red lanterns hanging from the ceiling and lots of landscape scenic artwork on the walls. This restaurant is fairly large too so perfect for a large gathering. Location is in Kaimuki on Waialae Avenue. There is street parking and also a paid parking lot. If you are in the area there are lots of little shops and restaurants to check out. So enjoy!

It was bad...very bad. Last time was dinner and this time was dim sum. It is completely out of our list now. All dim sums are tasteless, dry, not fresh. Those are very ordinary items. How could they make them so bad! Very disgraceful. Very speechless. It was fairly good before COVID. Hope they change new dim sum masters and chefs.

There r many ppl outside by main street but there were no wait, they said just finished a rush. Was around 130pm Saturday. Parked at the shopping area parking, was 0.75 for a hour or so, only credit card. There were couple parties going on. Dim sum cart came couple times. Tea was super watery tho already, probably because after the rush lol. Food was good, u order what you get, was nice.
