Absolutely seamless. Received a prompt response for the reservation system and fast communication. The instructions were easy to follow and not over done. The area it's located in is very low key so if you dress nice you might feel silly arriving into the business it's located inside. But once inside you'll be with other nicely dressed guests. The speakeasy the vibe is super chill with a nice golden glow. The hand crafted beverage menu has something for every palette. There food options were high end and impressive. The decor is French industrial and has lounge seating and bar seating. I tried the Irish Coffee Slushie and it was well made. The glass selections they have are creative.

Very intimate atmosphere where the bartenders carefully craft you bespoke cocktails amongst a variety of classics to help elevate your drinking experience.

Was recommended by a friend and I'm glad we went! Love Harry's! The atmosphere was chill and the service was fantastic. Loved the decor. And the drinks! The drinks!!! Can't decide? Let them recommend the perfect one based on your likes and mood. The password to get in thing is a cute touch! If you're in Oahu come visit

An escape into the past makes life interesting. If you've ever hoped that you could step back in time, or even just capture the feeling for an evening...this is the place. In 2017, on a relatively unassuming weekday evening in Honolulu, the newly unveiled Harry's Hardware Emporium opened for business. It took half a year to put the space together. More than likely years....to dream up. Decor includes, wallpapers in blue & gold hues lining the walls and a metal tin tiled ceiling reflects against the dim lighting. Dave & Hideo (co-owners) constructed many of the built ins-shelving, bar top & bookshelves. The masculine brown leather sofa near the sea green oversized stuffed sofa offer an enticing invitation to cozy up and enjoy a laid back evening. Harry's opened behind a nondescript hardware storefront facade on Oahu's Mccully area. The co-owner, and creative mind behind the scenes, Dave Newman, knew it was a natural sequence for the next step in Honolulu's craft cocktail scene. Build it and they will come. Human nature drives the curiosity of going to places that are hidden, not easy to get in and unique. Prior to arriving, text 808-379-3887 to request in. Wait for a confirmation reply, walk into Pint & Jigger. Open the nondescript door near the women's restroom. Harry's is located on the other side of the hallway, behind the secret bookcase panel. Wait in the narrow hallway until the host acknowledges you and escorts you to either a seat on the bar or a comfy sofa, depending on the size of your party. When was the last time you were asked by a bartender if you wanted to try a sidecar, rusty nail or grasshopper? Or any cocktail mesquite smoked for that matter?! Walking in, arouses all your senses as you become aware of your surroundings. Taking note of the smartly dressed bartenders in their long sleeve shirts and vests. I immediately feel in the mood to put on a red fringed beaded dress and a cap with a long feather. sticking out of it. Because it feels like you could be in the Great Gatsby time era. The quintessential portrayal of dashing bootleggers and the glamour of the 1920's. These places were born out of necessity. After boozing was banned, speakeasies and other illegal drinking establishments became part of everyday life. Just because it was against the law, people weren't going to stop drinking. They just became creative and starting making bathtub gin. The prohibition era lasted from 1920-1933. That's a long time to keep these places secret. Speakeasies were the nickname for these bars because patrons had to whisper code words to enter. These establishments were illegal and had to hide behind storefronts and facades. I've been to a variety of these bars around the globe but none feel as cozy as this one. Some of the best ones customize your cocktail to your liking. You provide the bartender with the ingredients or flavor profile you'd like to see in your drink and he comes up with something you'll enjoy. It's no different here. Fashioning cocktails of the period are what they do best. Sitting at the bar, watching them craft my cocktail is the kind of evening I enjoy. I especially love the choice of glassware here. It's themed for the time period. The ice is even custom made for each drink type. Each element is handmade or tailored specifically to the drink, mixed only with high grade and/or house made spirits, the freshest ingredients & house-made syrups. Just as the saying goes, you not only eat with your eyes first but drink with them first as well! The cocktails here have as much eye appeal as they are delicious. When I first started coming here, I suspected, but didn't know for sure that the bar was named after Harry Craddock. Recognized as the most influential bartender of the 1920's. He was with the Savoy Hotel and became famous for his book, The Savoy Cocktail Book. It ends up that the name of this place comes from one of Dave's industry relati

Nice ambience and good drinks with some fun fortune cookies to help you decide which cocktail to try first. A cool place to cocktail. The speakeasy is a thing right now. Small, intimate bars in the back of another more typical bar, with secret passwords, velvet curtains, doors behind bookshelves, etc. I like the premise and the things these places have to offer: a more intimate experience with friends, ability to have discussions, pricey cocktails that are not just slopped together...couches and comfortable chairs. My kind of place. The cocktails were good, the waitstaff pleasant, the room cool and from another time. Overall, a nice experience and one that I will certainly be happy to return to. Parking is no fun.

Speak easy located in pint and jigger. It says that it's closed for renovations but don't believe it!! Came in on Valentine's Day around 8-9 and luckily we were able to get seated. It's very dark and has a cool ambiance. Service isn't as quick if you are seated at a table not at the bar. The drinks however are STRONG. One drink and it hit me pretty hard after I left. I got the south side it was a tasty citrus gin and tonic. There is a food menu too which sounds good but didn't get to try any items. Servers are very friendly but service was just a little slow since we weren't in the eye of the workers but happy to be seated as a walk in on a Friday night.

Had a really good time at this place, the bartenders were nice and the drinks were great! Prices are not too bad at all considering what you get. The place also has very cool decoration and you feel like you've time traveled into a library in the1920s or something. Make sure you make reservations to get in though!

My friend has been talking about going here for the last 6 months, but we only now had the time in both our busy schedules to go. He set it up, so i'm not sure how that process works, but there is a password involved, so it is important to plan ahead a few days at least. Finding it was fun... there is a small sign. And then you're on your own Once inside, it has a victorian library/turn of the century feel to it, which was classy, classic, and beautiful. The lights were low, there was some music... it was a perfect atmosphere for chatting and enjoying yourself. The menu was not large, and did not have the food from the other bar, which I think would have been a cool option, but the bone marrow mac n cheese, and other goodies we got were good. It was nice to see unique food offerings, but a little more variety than the 8 or so items would have been welcome. The drinks were very fun to read... we ended up with the fortune cookie drink which chooses your alcohol and lets the barman be creative. I had a holiday type gin drink with a homemade spice jam and egg foam - it was lovely, and something I would never otherwise order, but I loved it. I tried a drink with St. Germaine next, and ended with the cold brew coffee slushie (which was a bit too slushie for me...). The barman was amazing - he explained every drink ingredient, asked after us frequently, checked on our enjoyment of his drinks and the food... very attentive and very nice. I would go back here again for the drinks and service anytime. Check them out! It's a fun and unique experience for a special occasion.

So first this is a Speakeasy. You gotta find your own way in. But if you are a "water world" person you know what to do. Chat up some hip mixologist at your favorite bar. Ask your friendly boozer where to get a proper Manhattan in a cut crystal glass. Use the power of social media to find out the secret number. Getting in is more than half the fun.

OMG! This place is fantastic! My wife and I visited Harry's place tonight and had an awesome experience. We are not strangers to high quality dining and cocktails, but haven't really engaged in the recent trend to custom crafted cocktails. I found Harry's on yelp and took a chance as the reviews seemed to indicate that it was someplace special. We were blown away. The Vibe was awesome with old school music playing in a comfortable atmosphere. It very much has a feeling of what I think a 20s Speakeasy would be like. It was comfortable and chill without any of the tensions of a traditional bar. Curtis was out initial bartender. We went with some Bartender's Choice drinks that were amazing. We then connected with the owner Dave. As it turns out, Dave came from a small own that we live in! We really connected and Dave guided us through an amazing course of off the menu cocktails. The whole staff at Harry's is completely checked out, supreme professionals and experts in their craft. While some of the reviews above mention price as expensive, I feel that this place doesn't charge any more for their creations than a higher end hotel bar, but there is so much more available here as an experience. Highly Recommended!

Pretty much in love with this place. Love that it's a speak easy and requires reservations. They purposely dont want the place getting crowded and at the same time serving the highest quality of drinks and food. The bartenders are unquestionably knowledgeable about their drinks and their food. It is definitely a place known for their specialty drinks but their food is very good too. I came here with a group of 8 and we had our own corner of the place. 6 of is were new to the place and we all enjoyed every minute of it. We were there from when they first opened at 530 till 830. The males are more of whiskey drinkers so we had a few bartenders chooses, rusty nails, and even old fashions. The females mostly dod their fortune cookie where your drink is described on the fortune paper in the cookie which is very risky since you wont know what type of drink is coming. But that's the fun part of it. There were a few weird drinks but all in all they were very boozy. I personally liked their bartenders choices and their old fashion is one of the best I've ever had. As for the food, they aren't the biggest portions but they are tasty. And we pretty much only ordered food to get something in our stomachs to balance all the alcohol. Overall we had a great time and will definitely be back. Not very often though since it's a little pricey haha

A speakeasy in Honolulu... We tried to visit Harry's Hardware Emporium in the past without success. Reservations are required and we didn't have any. This time, we had reservations. I wasn't prepared attire-wise, so, right before our visit, I bought a dress and shoes to replace my jeans, flip flops, and Hello Kitty t-shirt. However, inside the lounge, I saw a gal wearing jeans and there were a couple of guys wearing shorts and flip flops! Maybe the dress code is more lenient on a Thursday night? (Sigh...) Anyway, my friend, Lisa, told me that this was a fancy place...and it is! It's elegant and old fashioned... as if the plush, antique sofas are functional decorations. I admired the twinkly chandelier, the colorful book spines, and the exotic glassware! I ordered a Scotch Ginger Colada Slushie! I enjoyed the fruitiness of the coconut, pineapple, and lime! I appreciated the reusable metal straw/spoon! What a fun drink! The service was excellent! I felt like we were pampered! Thanks for a fun experience! Let's go back for the mac n cheese! Note: secret location is inside Pint + Jigger on King Street. Park in the free shared lot (with Jimbo's), go inside, and say the magic word that's texted to you when your reservation is confirmed!

One of the best bar experiences I had! This speakeasy definitely tops the other bars in Honolulu. I highly highly recommend this place over the other upscale bars. This place gets PACKED so you must make reservations. This is a speakeasy so you must text the number on the yelp business page. If they won't respond, just keep following up. The host will send you details of the location through text. We got to sit at bar side and we were the first ones at the bar since we dropped in right after they opened. Emily, our bartender, was soo creative and attentive. I got two bartenders choice, and I literally had the best cocktails I have ever tried. I love whisky and citrus so Emily made me a yuzu, passion fruit whisky drink with egg foam on top. OMG amazing. I also loved my other friends bartenders choice which has cold brew with coffee. I couldn't have the caffeine at night so Emily made me an AMAZING old fashioned that was smokey and earthy, yet freaking amazing. There's great bites for you to enjoy and there's even more food outside of the speakeasy. I highly recommend this bar to anyone who is 21+.
