#1 sushi restaurant on the whole island!!! Once I tried this place I never went to another sushi spot again. The sunrise and dragon roll are my favorites. The ladies are so kind and nice too!

One of my favorite sushi spots! Super affordable, you can absolutely keep it below $15 per person depending on what you order. They have less expensive rolls that are more simple and are around $6, i usually get some of the fancier ones which range from $10-$15. My favorite is the spicy ahi tempura roll, though the Diamond Head tempura roll (first picture) is also SO good. The lava tube roll (second picture) is great as well, the green onions add a really bright flavor to it. Great variety of sushi rolls and poke bowls to choose from, I've really enjoyed everything I've tried so far. Service is always pretty quick and the staff are friendly and polite. Parking is quite limited, though you might be able to find street parking in the area. There's 3 indoor seats and two or three tables outside the shop, so finding seating is really just dependent on how many other people arrive at the same time as you. The shop is a 10 minute or so walk from the beach, so you could also walk down there for a scenic meal. Highly recommend this place!

Exceptional Sushi, highly recommend. I drive by multiple sushi eateries to eat here. Fresh ingredients, the tempura shrimp rolls the best I've enjoyed anywhere. Limited seating inside and outside. So you may want to order ahead and Take Out. When I want sushi, Hawaii Sushi is first choice.

Such delicious sushi!! You can seriously get so many rolls for such a low price. Their eel, shrimp, and salmon rolls were all so good. The only thing they lack is a nice interior. The store is pretty small, and there's not really seating.

What I love about this place is it is so cozy and down to earth. A lot of newer sushi spots play to much into futuristic and gimic styling. You wont find that here. Hawaii Sushi is classic and traditional. Great sushi, but even better staff and service.

A nice yummy sushi place. Great value. Hamachi Nigiri was top quality. The rice was perfect. Their rolls were great too - a special shrimp roll that was being featured, and Big Island if you love fish. The cashier was also very friendly and kind. I and my family will be back, please give them some business so they are there until then.
Hats off to this splendid value for money proposal. Outstanding quality for great tasting sushi.

Did take out for dinner and we were happy with the veggie roll, salmon bowl, & unagi bowl. Fresh fish and tasty rice. Following day we picked up the $6 lunch special bowl (salmon & mayo) and 2 inari for round 2 after brunch at Bogart’s. Great deal, both satisfied!
