Location is convenient. But sushi rolls taste like the ones you buy in Safeway or any other grocery store. They even serve them in the same containers. I don't have pictures but you can check them out from other reviews. Also, parking is somewhat difficult to find.

This place should be called Hamtaro sushi cause of sushi size. Looks like sushi that made of leftovers. Avoid this place.

Delicious, FRESH fish, simple rolls with interesting flavors. Had the Hamachi Jalapeno and Crunchy Lava Rock rolls and tried a piece of the Diamondhead roll. All wonderful! Really no inside seating to speak of, 3-4 tables outside. Great prices!

My daughter is a regular and needs her Local Ahi Special or Chirashi Bowl once a week. They also have the Special of the Day bowls and that's one to grab along with our main meal. Keep it going Team Hawaii Sushi!

Exactly what you would expect of a grab & go sushi place. Good quality sushi, well packaged, clean place, convenient seating outside. I'd definitely return.

SPICY AHI AVOCADO @hawaii_sushi 3045 Monsarrat Ave Suite 1, Honolulu, HI*@hawaii_sushi is a Japanese owned sushi small business that is new (to me). This was my first time stumbling upon them after going on a run on my most recent trip home. The staff is super kind, the store is clean, and there are lots of pictures to help you decide on what you want to order. They have poke, sushi, and specialty bowls.*I ordered the Spicy Ahi Avocado Bowl and it was probably one of the best bites I had back home this time around. The spicy ahi is smashed into this creamy texture that is complemented by even more creaminess from the avocado. We demolished it in 5 minutes because the creamy texture and taste was so satisfying. *10/10 would go back again. Next time I definitely want to try their poke like the ginger ahi . #chopsticksnboots

This is my favorite sushi joint in all Honolulu. Why? Because they are the only ones who have hamachi jalapeno rolls!!! Why doesn't everyone offer jalapeno slices with their sushi? WHY?They have the freshest fish and your sushi is made to order. The dragon roll is so crunchy on the outside with just the right amount of sweet. The kids love to get the simple maki rolls with cucumber, ahi, salmon and avocado. The also make a tasty seaweed salad.

We ordered takeout. 1 ahi/avocado bowl, 1 specialty roll (rainbow), 1 hosomaki (hamachi) and grabbed a seaweed salad side from the cold fridge. The prices here are very reasonable, a great value. The smell of the sushi when I opened the bag was inviting and authentic (toasted nori and sushi rice) The bowl was a 4, specialty roll a 3.5 because the short odd-cut sashimi pieces draping the California roll, hosomaki was a 5, seaweed salad a 3.
