Located in the lobby of the Beachcomber hotel in Waikiki, the Hawaiian Aroma Caffe is a solid breakfast option that opens early and has plenty of variety on the menu. The acai waffle with mixed berries was delicious, as was the sunny side waffle, although there are a ton of other waffle flavors we didn’t have time (or room) to try. The best part about this place is the coffee, especially the caramel macchiato.Try and get here early as it does get fairly crowded and seating space is limited; or just grab a coffee and waffle to go and enjoy it right on the beach, which is just a short walk away. All in all, I would definitely recommend the Aroma Cafe if you’re looking for a breakfast place that opens early and has great coffee and tasty waffle options.

I don’t think the staff here know how to smile!I find most of the staff very unfriendly, some just rude, look like they would rather be anywhere else.Food is nice, Açai bowls are delicious.Filtered coffee is good but needs to be hotter.Good value happy hour.Ate and drank here daily as staying at the Beachcomber.A bit pricey but convenient.

This is a wonderful little spot tucked away off the pool deck at the Beach Comber Hotel off the lobby level (take the big escalator up). Great spot to hook up with friends for iced tea or any type of coffee drink you like to enjoy. We had a couple of their paninis to share as snacks as we chatted. We tried the Turkey Pesto Panini and the Caprese Panini (both came with chips). Both were very good but the table voted the Caprese Panini to be the tastiest. We all had different drinks (I had the Hibiscus Ice Tea, friends had the Caramel Macchiato). The staff is friendly and the ambiance is upbeat with a funky decor. Really enjoy meeting here as you don't feel rushed out so you can have a good visit while enjoying their tasty food and beverages.

Great food and nice place. A must to check out and see when in hawaii. No reservations needed here and service is fast and friendly

We popped in here for a "quick breakfast to take on the road. They were fairly busy for 6am! We ordered good breakfast sandwiches, and enjoyed our iced lattes. They go light on flavor, and half-sweet was not enough (couldn't taste the flavor). They were training someone new so service was pretty slow but we understand that!

I ordered the dolce and banana, I'd give it a 3/5 because there wasn't much of a banana flavor, mainly just a mocha. I also ordered the lean and green smoothie and that was terrific. So fresh and clean. The service was a bit slow and that's why I gave a 4 star review. Only 2 people in front of us and took about 15 minutes to get our order. Overall would come back to try other flavored lattes!

We traveled to Hawaii two years ago and visited this place at least 3 times for coffee and breakfast. The staff was incredibly kind, drinks and food were incredible, and atmosphere was amazing. If you are in a rush, this might not work for your schedule, but found many places were not super speedy. BUT, this place is worth the wait. I still dream about this coffee!!

Our hotel reservation included breakfast vouchers (although not every hotel reservation does, it depends on whether you book directly etc) and I'm happy to report I loved my coconut chocolate mocha (4/5 stars) and my husband enjoyed his latte too (3.5/5 stars). Very satisfied with the tropical açaí bowl (5/5 stars) but just 2/5 stars on the guava waffle because the guava syrup tasted like sugar (not guava) and the waffle tasted soft and rubbery (I thought that it tasted like it was served at least 30 minutes after they made it, or maybe they just microwaved it to warm it up). We'll happily be getting the açaí bowls (they have four different options) every morning the rest of our short trip thanks to the vouchers. One tip - the vouchers only cover the 12oz bowls, not the 16 oz ones. Service was fine (5/5 stars) and the ambiance was pretty medium (5/5 stars) although I did appreciate the fact that they allow guests to eat at the tables on the pool deck!

I ordered an acai bowl and a latte from Hawaiian Aroma Caffe. The acai bowl's fruit toppings were tasty, but the açaí itself seemed a little bit icy. The latte was good but not great. I would not avoid this cafe by any means, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return here.

Great food in the lobby of our hotel. The service is friendly and quick. Be careful walking around the pool area with your food and drinks. Great specialty coffees!
