We had a great experience at Hideout. Jarrod, our server, was super nice and attentive. The live music was also amazing.

I don’t give out 5 stars often but the Hideout gets full points. Great atmospheres, fantastic service and obviously tasty food. Prices are about average for the area. We ate here in the morning for brunch and in the evening for dinner. Both times did not disappoint. The live music is always a great touch. Typically busy and reserving a table ahead of time is recommended. Will be back when we return.

The cappuccino was amazing also the cocktails are amazing, probably the best I ever had. The rooftop at night and the lighted torches make a nice atmosphere. Food is excellent, I've had breakfast and dinner here. Plus on the weekends they have a live musician every time I was here they were amazing. Simply beautiful!

I had the Seared Kampachi crispy rice. The rice was almost frozen. The oil tasted rancid from being served so cold. I mean who serves anything fried ice cold?? Disgusting. My daughter had the Ahi Poke bowl. Equally just as awful. I mean get your stuff together! You have one job, cook at least decent food for the price you charge!! I will never ever be back here, and the rooms here suck as well. Great view of dirty parking structures. Whoever writes their website description should be given an award for bullshit. And parking is $60 a night!! For what! Pure crap

Looking for good food and ambience great live music? Check out the hideout. In downtown Waikiki. The service was excellent the music phenomenal, and the food was amazing. I started with the Crab and Smoked Ahi Cakes pupu, 2 come in an order for $25. They were really good but also very much overpriced. For my drink first I had Meet me at Midnight. Tequila based drink that wasn’t too sweet, it was delicious, and very strong also $25. The Kalbi veef bowl was so good. The shot ribs were cooked perfectly. I wish my egg was a bit more runny but other than that delicious. I also ordered a Laylow Hawaiian style MaiTai, a little sweet for my liking, it was presented beautifully. The fruity flavors did well to mask the strong alcohol flavor. The live music outstanding. OMG sista girl was killing it. The guitarist played beautifully. Their combo was so good they really complimented each other perfectly.Overall this was a great night out. The restaurant is quite pricey and some items I found were very overpriced. Also if you are going with a large group be aware that they will not split the bill for you they will only half it. So just be mindful.Parking: The Valet parking we almost missed it but it’s right next to the sign outside that says the name of the restaurant. If you don’t want to Valet. There is paid hotel parking a little further down the road.Kid-friendliness: Although the restaurant is kid friendly. I wouldn’t recommend it for younger kids. The table seating is very small and it’s more lounge style seats than table seating.

Drinks excellent. Staff attentive and quick. Food mediocre. The setting is nice, and the musicians was quite good. One expects to get ripped off in Waikiki -- and the food here attests to that. But, again, the drinks were above average.

I was in the mood for a cocktail bar and decided to give this place a try! I love the rooftop ambiance! We arrived just in time for happy hour and I think it was also time for a shift change. Our first server was great (I think his name was Alvin?), we got an order of the edamame, which I'd highly recommend! It was tossed with spicy Korean chili, sweet soy, and garlic. It was savory with a bit of a kick from the chili. I also ordered the Mama-San cocktail from Makayla, and it was one of the best drinks I've ever had! I loved the pandan infused vodka and the passion fruit in the drink, I'll be back for another one if these! I also ordered the happy hour Mai Tai from Makayla and it was delicious and well balanced. She asked if we were visiting and we told her we're locals and she made sure to give us the Kama'aina discount! She also made sure to let the next bartender know to give us Kama'aina discount before she left for the day. Our next bartenders were Aaron and Taylor(?). We ordered the kalua pork egg rolls, wonton poke tacos, and the hideout fries. The egg rolls were nice and savory with a delicious dipping sauce, and I LOVED the poke tacos! The tacos were cool and refreshing, but very filling. The hideout fries were tossed with some kind of spice blend and came with ketchup and a chili aioli for dipping. The fries were nice and savory, and the aioli compliments the spice blend nicely. I finished off the bar bites with another drink, In Full Bloom. It was nice and floral, great if you like gin and rose! I also want to thank the bartenders for keeping my water glass full, I drink a lot of water, so it's no small feat for them to keep my glass full. On top of the great food, drinks, and service, there was also live music! It was a nice touch to the already great atmosphere. I can't wait to come back!

We have eaten here on three separate occasions and the food and great service were terrific each time. It also has a great ambience.

March 27, 2024: I don't know what happened to music, but speakers sounded like they were blown, popped, yet the music kept going. Silence would have sounded better. Bartender even agreed. If you come to listen to music, first make sure the acoustics are OK.Old review: This place always has good live music.

The food and service was excellent. Kalei was friendly and an awesome server. This was the best birthday celebration with Ohana and friends. Thanks to my son Reggie Wells for this special birthday dinner. Mahalo to the staff of the HIDEOUT for making this a celebration that I will remember.

I went to the Hideout for a few meals while staying at the Laylow. Everything was delicious, the service was excellent, and it has a great location with live music most evenings.

We were so lucky to have Christopher as our server. He went above and beyond for our large group for my friend's birthday. He made sure our glasses were full at all times for the mimosas and kept checking in on us to make sure we were well attended to. He brought out our friend's birthday macaroons on a plate with flowers, and brought out all our orders on time with no mistakes :) he is awesome and made my friend's birthday that much more special with his kindness. Thanks Christopher, you are amazing!
