This place is amazing! The service is awesome! 💯 I ordered the Kailua pig sliders, the loco moco, and the Fish sandwich with a taro bun. I would definitely come back again.

This is a Hawaiian restaurant that I took to, probably because it has been run by Japanese Americans for several generations, and the flavors and names of the dishes are a bit nostalgic for Japanese people, so it was very delicious❗️

My first meal in Hawaii and it blew me away. It set the bar extremely high for the trip. Highway Inn was so good that I went back on another day for a second meal. Everything was flavourful and punchy. Kalua Pork was smokey which gives an amazing flavour.

I personally feel Highway Inn is much better than Waiahole Poi Factory.

Staff here refused to seat us even though plenty of seats were open, including bar seating. Saw a group come in and asked to be seated at the bar and had no wait. When I asked for the same, she refused and said it would be another 10 minutes. Got sick of waiting after 30 minutes where there were clearly available tables. Horrible business practices.

Happened Thursday evening this past week. This wouldn't explain how others arriving after us were immediately seated at the bar when requested however when I asked for the same request, I was refused. I went down to Indochine and was treated with respect and had a lovely meal.

This is a restaurant with a local feel. By noon, there was a long line of locals. You can eat Hawaiian food. The store clerk's brisk movements made me feel comfortable.

Our server was Tatiana. Great service and like the atmosphere. Food was good was overall, was expecting a little more. Would definitely recommend and would come back.

This place is awesome! Came to the island for the first time and the family wanted to try authentic Hawaiian food versus food from the hotel. The Hawaiian Loco was amazing. Such richness and flavor was quite a delight. My 11 year-old son ate the chicken barbecue, which was exquisite as well. The fried sweet potato was a nice addition to the meal. I recommend wearing here away from the Waikiki beach resorts.

Coming from California I’m used to eating at Ono Hawaiian, but doesn’t compare to the taste from the Highway Inn.

Parking: First hour parking is free. But sure validates.

Validated free parking if you can get a spot. Terrific, authentic food. Fast, attentive service. Favorite is to order combo plate. Love going here.

Thanks for double wrapping the food. While my dasher was taking out the food from his delivery bag and the cup got flipped and the lid was off. But thanks to the cautious wrapping, the chicken long rice was intact! of course, it was delish!
