Not sure where I should start with my experience at Natsuboshi on the 2nd floor of Hmart Kaka'ako. I liked my sukiyaki bowl. But my friends and I were ticked off by the terrible customer service, which was borderline racist. I went with a local guy and a black guy from the mainland. My local friend and I ordered our food. He had a steak bowl combo. Mine was just a sukiyaki rice bowl. I was busy talking with my other friends at the window seating area. My friends heard our number being called. My local friend went to get food. The lady gave him a sukiyaki rice bowl, miso soup and gyoza, not the steak bowl. After inspecting the food against the receipt, I said that was not a complete order. So, my black friend went to get the missing dish. The lady cashier told him, "I gave you everything already." He came back confused. I was little angry at that point. I brought the food tray back to the counter and demanded an explanation with my receipt. It took her a couple of minutes to figure out there was something missing. She said the steak bowl took a while to cook and will be ready soon. What I don't understand was why she brushed my black friend off by telling a lie. After carefully analyzing with my local friend, he said there was a big group of black kids ordered before us. She must be confused with those who were in that group. My black friend is much older than those kids and was not part of that group. But still. Wouldn't common sense suggest that you check our receipt first?

I like the food at Natsuboshi but service was subpart. I ordered steak bowl combo and sukiyaki a la carte. The lady gave my friend sukiyaki bowl, miso soup and gyoza first. When asked about the beef bowl, she kept saying that was the whole order. I had to bring the food tray back to the counter to show her. It took her a couple of minutes to figure out there was something missing.

Located on the 2nd floor of Hmart, this food court has so many delicious eats! Our eyes are always bigger than our stomach, so even after our scampi shrimp plates at Giovanni's we kept looking for more food. lol Hubby got these delicious chicken karaage and the sukiyaki rice bowl. Reasonable pricing and good portion! We probably didn't need dinner round #2, but we were so glad we did because it was delicious! Wish we had more time on our trip to come back and actually try the ramen bowls. Not sure if the food court validate parking, but we stocked up on snacks at Hmart and got an hour parking validated.

Located on the 2nd floor in hmart! Really good service and the person in charge was nice and helpful. I like the noodles which were thicker than typical ramen noodles. the black garlic was kind of bland even with all the garlic that you can see, the flavor just didn't come through. The spicy miso while it didn't look super spicy it was actually really spicy the broth kind of tasted like peppers were just brewed in it. The bamboo was cut extremely thick, so thick that it didn't get soft even after eating all the ramen. The miso soup didn't have much miso taste and had a sweet taste. I did like the gyoza. I kind of want to try the sides which sound good, maybe the rice dishes fair better

Open air food court. I went early and it was not noisy yet. Ordered the the Special Miso Ramen. Wow. What got me was the amount of Charsiu included. Had 6 good size pieces, soft and tasted great. Was not chewy at but all. Miso broth was a little thin, but when I mixed in the butter wow the broth came alive and thickened up to my liking . Nice picrc of Bamboo Shoots and not the thin slices you get elsewhere. Corn, geen onions and bean sprouts piled in rounded out everything. I enjoyed the bowl of Ramen immensely also because I'm a big fan of Charsiu which made they had more then many other Ramen shops I've been to. I'm going back soonParking: I was in the Handicapped space and there was no charge on the ground level

Used to be very good. I am guessing it is a new owner. Curry is not remotely Japanese. Tonkatsu looked like it came premade frozen from Costco. Avoid. It is not the same.

Tried the Miso Butter Corn Ramen, and the Gyoza, both were ok, no condiments for the Ramen, or Gyoza except for a small packet of Shoyu. Staff seemed friendly, drinks prices are crazy ($2.50) for a can of soda! Definitely not going back.

Try another restaurant in the food court. I came for lunch after running errands, and I bought a tempura bowl combo in the afternoon. It came out suspiciously quick and was very oily. Consisted of an oily kakiage and pan-fried shrimp with a poached egg over rice. I did not finish my bowl. I'd usually let this go, but the physical discomfort I felt after eating this food had me questioning my life choices on the toilet.

I came here during lunch. I ordered the chicken karage rice bowl. The chicken karage bowl had four pieces of fried chicken and a egg in the center. I thought the bowl was good. The restaurant is located in Hmart on the second level food court. There is private parking lot or street parking. I would have to return to make a better assessment of Hokkaido Ramen Natauboshi.

Great quality, but a little pricey beyond the basic options. The large spicy miso plus butter was an excellent choice. For Hawaii, I give this a firm 5/5. If this were Japan, I would give it a 4/5 due to the weird assortment of undercooked vegetables and price. The soup was exceptional, especially with butter. The spiciness was not overbearing and the miso was well balanced. The chashu had excellent flavor and above average texture, but lacked severely in amount. Noodles were good, with no complaints to be had with texture or length of cooking.

Went there for a Yelp gathering and tried the sukiyaki rice bowl which was very good and it had lots of flavor and the beef was tender. They also put out Chicken Karaage to try which was very good and not oily. Others tried the different Ramens and nobody had any complaints seems like everyone enjoyed their choice from there. Staff was friendly and they made everything hot, so there was a little wait but worth it! Staff was great and friendly!

Spicy Shoyu Ramen. Flavor was ok, but where are the noodles? 4 small chopstick pulls and no more noodles left. C'mon now. I'm an average sized guy, but still had to get a bento from downstairs H-Mart. A cup noodles probably has more noodles than this. Haven't tried any of their other dishes, but don't really plan to. Cashier didn't acknowledge me either even though I was the only customer there. Not good.

located in the food court above hmart. we stopped by natsuboshi after buying groceries. We ordered the tonkatsu curry and it was really good and not too salty. The curry has depth and contained lots of vegetables thay gave a lot of texture to the curry. The katsu was lightly breaded and fried well. I thoroughly enjoyed this place!
