For a ramen shop, this place next to Don Quixote was above average. The ramens were flavorful and decent, but the salmon in the rice bowl was way over cooked. I guess I’ve learnt my lesson not to order rice dishes at a ramen shop.
Stumbled in on a Sunday at 8:45pm. I was seated immediately, and ordered the Toroniku Shio Ramen. Food came out lighting fast, and it was delicious.
The broth was everything you would want, silky and rich, flavorful, and perfectly salted. The ramen was perfect as well. Bouncey with a nice bite.
The Toroniku was amazing. Don't let the greyness of the meat deceive you. It was super tender and juicy. It also comes with green onions, bamboo shoots, and mushrooms on the side.
I finished everything. I got a medium portion, and the final cost was $17.59 after taxes.
This place will definitely satisfy your ramen craving, and if you want a large bowl it's only $1 more!
The new cold ramen meal is super yummy 😋
Ono food. Good prices. Excellent customer service. This is my GO TO ramen spot here in Honolulu. I’ve been coming here for years. Can’t go wrong with this place.
Soooo tasty. The best ramen I've had in the United States!
We tried the tantanmen and the toroniku miso, with eggs added. Also tried the charsiu rice bowl and gyoza on a different day (we had to come back a second time). Everything was exceptionally good. Also the service is very friendly and exceptionally fast. Cute atmosphere too with the ramen bar in addition to the tables. Clean. This place really stands out.
AND it's next to Don Quijote!
Visited this Hokkaido-style ramen place yesterday. The broth was a bit too rich for my taste, but the service was fast and the portion of meat was impressive.( but there is no egg )The pork was flavorful and not at all gamey, which I really appreciated.
It felt more like a local spot than a tourist trap, which made the experience even better. Worth checking out if you’re looking for a solid, hearty bowl of ramen.
I was disappointed with their Shoyu Ramen. They lost the quality of their tasty soup!!! What happened with them??? The soup was so week and had lightly Tonkotsu tast. It was like hot water with slightly tonkotsu flavored. Not Shoyu flavor at all as before. I've been visiting this Ramen restaurant many times and this restaurant was one of my favorite Ramen restaurant in Hawaii. But this was the last vist. I will not come back any more. I am so sad to loose my favorite Ramen restaurant 😢
Good spot for late night ramen.
Friendly staff, quick service, EXCELLENT ramen. Reasonable prices too!
Came here on a Sunday with a party of 4. Their menu has changed a lot over the years but we were seated quickly. The food was fine, but they were playing incredibly loud and obnoxious improv jazz music that completely destroyed the ambiance. We made eye contact with another party of 4 who was seated further away and we all cringed at how horrible and stress inducing the music was.
I’m not sure if this was a one off or if this music is playing there all the time, but it was enough of a deterrent to not want to come back again.

Cozy place by Don Quijote on Kaheka. Got seated right away. I've never had toroniku before and it was delicious! Got seated right away.
Great, authentic food at a reasonable price for the area.
Fantastic food, casual welcoming atmosphere, and great service.
theres no shortage of ramen shops in hawaii, maybe there’s too much tbh, so its a challenge to find a place that stand out. most are ‘about da same’ middle of the road, no matter what each claim to be their regional secret family recipe that supposedly won them awards somewhere. ignore all that noise… this place, is a bit above average, good balance and not trying to do to much, gave it 4 stars because the pork was not too fatty, but just right and fall apart tender. also, i thought it was a bit cheaper than most shops, lots of choices at 15 bucks, only 1$ more to supersize. so gets the 4 star being a better deal.
The place was almost full, but they accommodated, and the japanese couple was so nice to have move seat just so our group of 13 can seat together. I offered to pay for their food, but the waitress said they will take care of it, and on top of that STEVE one of the chef gave us complimentary dish to try. That place is not only there for money, but to make people enjoy themselves. That place deserve more than 5 stars. Their Ramen is top of the line, broth was so DELICIOUS and a great amount of noodles inside the bowls. This is my first time going there, but me and my FAMILY and friends will go there again.
