Didn't realize how expensive my bag would be not a lot of selection on a Tuesday afternoon at 11:45am. Didn't feel too welcomed when walking in. Looks a little rundown as you walk in. I was so excited to go to Hokulani's. I was just shot down when walking into the bakery and felt uncomfortable. Macha cupcake was not so great at all it was hard and dry the frosting was great. Ube, Lilikoi, Guava and Red velvet always great tasting soft and delicious. It's just not like how it was before pre covid. Hopefully things will pickup for the bakery..

This has seriously been bugging me since I bought a red velvet cupcake here the other day. FIVE DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS!!! I posted on my FB page and someone asked if a child made this. Ridiculous. Whole Foods red velvet is triple the size and $2.50. I'm a lover of small businesses but this is just a rip off.

Went in the morning on a weekday. They have a variety. It was a little busy. I wouldn't say they staff were friendly, but they weren't unpleasant, either. The cupcakes are pricey and small. They were moist with a good flavo. I would eat them again if someone else paid. Doubt I'll return.

I will sing praises to the beautiful people at the Hokulani Bake Shop. We ordered our wedding cake from them last year and this year for our anniversary we got the cupcake version of our wedding cake to celebrate. Needless to say this will be a tradition for as long as we can keep it up. Their minimalistic buttercream was the best for us and our guests. We ordered the guava and passion fruit cake with the cream cheese filling. In our opinion they are their best flavors. Their seasonal flavors are also amazing. For the best service call and order ahead.

Hokulani Bakery is a great place to grab a cupcake for you or someone special. Their cupcakes are heavenly pieces of expensive little cakes. I LOVE Hokulani cupcakes because they are moist, tasty, and the cream cheese topping is delicious. I tried many of the different flavors and enjoyed each of them, but my absolute go to flavors would have to be their GUAVA, RED VELVET, OR SHAVE ICE CUPCAKES. Due to inflation, the cupcake prices have gone up and now they cost $4.75 each, but if you buy 12+ more it's $4.50. You must order in advance for big orders. They also charge for little props to add to the cupcakes if you're gifting someone. They usually sell out of cupcakes by lunch time, so it's best to go early. The little bakery is located on the ground floor of Waterfront Plaza on Ala Moana Blvd. and the friendly staff offer parking validation.

Consistently solid cupcakes. My personal favorite is a tie between the strawberry guava and the lilikoi lemon.

I came here twice. The first was to sample the flavors to see if I liked them so I could place an order for my birthday since I'm coming from the mainland and I'm a baker. The flavors and the ingredients are really fresh for the red velvet and guava (which is all I tried) they both had that moistness to the crumb and the sweet tanginess of the cream cheese frosting. I got the jumbo size which is basically a jumbo size muffin tin and I got the cream cheese filled inside because on top they don't do a huge amount of frosting so that's the only drawback. their guava cupcake tasted exactly like guava, so I'm curious if it was a artificial flavor or if they actually use guava to make it taste like that

Been buying their cupcakes for years but was recently disappointed. I used to say Hokulani had the best red velvet cupcakes on the island. Yesterday, the red velvet & chocolate cupcakes were pretty dry n bland. It tasted like it was a day old. I'll be willing to try them again one more time. If it's the same, I'll be searching for red velvet again and let everyone know. Any suggestions on who has moist tasty red velvet cupcakes?

Always a good call! The carrot cake cupcake is to die for and the employees are always welcoming and responsive!

Teetering between a two and three star but I'll be generous and give them an extra star because their employee was very nice and helpful. This review is strictly for the cupcakes here and I'm sorry, they are cute but taste bland. Not much flavor and the cakes do taste from scratch but heavy on the baking powder/soda taste. I suppose the person I shared the cupcakes with mentioned that it had a strong baking powder taste which made me notice what that taste was. Cupcakes aren't terrible but it needs more flavor and you definitely have to eat all the cupcakes within a day or they will get really dry. The prices are a bit high, $4+ for a single cupcake. It was a good try, thank you.

I'm not a cupcake lover not sure why - tend to be dry bc no layers and don't like all the frosting on top and somehow messy to eat whether you stuff it in your mouth or use a fork. Dislike of cupcakes is not a very popular stance. But people seemed to really like these cupcakes and they made it easy(ish) to order online (but not your phone, gotta be a computer). $4 per cupcake is ok pricing considering the quality and the fact that it was ready to pick up at the agreed upon time. I think I like the flavor of we heart cake cupcakes better but those are $5+ so can get pricy if ordering for a larger group. Would prolly order from here again for the convenience of ordering and quality.

Gosh!! Top of the line cupcakes , some are filled with the topping ingredients!! In a safe location , very convenient, fantastic assortment of flavors , and cleanliness at its peak!! Made to order creations are out of this world !! Love the cupcakes -- I must've tried every flavor available -- my favorite is the peanut butter- chocolate -- nostalgic memories of a happy childhood!!

Stopped by after an appointment in the area. The woman at the front was wonderful and so friendly! Husband and I decided to get six cupcakes to pick at and were amazed at the variety of unique flavors. I normally don't like frosting but I love that they don't pile it on and it was not overly sweet nor the cupcake itself was dry. Were definitely coming back because I'd love to use them for my birthday :) Mahalo for the treats!!EDIT (post-taste):From the top left: vanilla cream (husband's favorite), ube (my favorite), funfetti (the sweetest out of all, but that was expected!)From the bottom right: strawberry guava (not tart and super refreshing and subtle), shave ice (yum and fun), cookies and cream (more mocha-ish)We gobbled these up in about two days. It refrigerated well and on the second day, we let it set to room temp before finishing them up. Love that they're not overly sweet, not dry, and not too big :) Husband wants to come back for the vanilla cream, so we'll be back!

It's got some awesome stuff but when I went in today it's didn't have much of anything left and it was only lunch and no one was even in the mall. Just a few people. I wanted to get a box full of cupcakes but was told it have to pre order and it would take a couple of days or three. The prices are high but I've tried them before and it is very tasty.
